a program that protects undocumented immigrants who arrived in the country when they were children, meaning an uncertain future for hundreds of thousands of people. jonathan: jay korff has a new information about the announcement tomorrow. jay: just moments ago, the big development, u.s. secretary-general jeff sessions announced in 11 a.m. meeting tomorrow about daca. gathered outside of the white house monday night, rallying in support of daca, the obama-era program permitting hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants to enter the country illegally as children to stay. now word the president may phase out the program in several months. daca participants are deeply concerned. >> to say the least come it is a roller coaster. jay: he came to the states when he was 4. he said if daca

that north korea is "waiting for war" after its latest nuclear test, prompting an emergency meeting of the u.n. michelle marsh has the latest. michelle: officials now believe claim they's detonated a hydrogen bomb that could be mounted on a missile capable of reaching the u.s. at the security council meeting in new york today, they called for sanctions tougher than those passed just a few weeks ago. >> this crisis goes well beyond the u.n. the united states will look at every country that does business with north korea as a country that is giving aid to their reckless and dangerous nuclear intentions. michelle: in response to the tests, south korea is deploying four additional launchers as part of a u.s.-supplied missile-defense system. president trump spoke with south korea's president. the white house said the liftdent agreed to

this boater was about to get off the water when deputies stopped him. >> they said you have to go back because somebody got shot and is running around with a shotgun. so we just sat out on the water and fished a little longer. until they told us to come in. jonathan: charles county deputy say that pierce knew the victims who came over to his house on port tobacco road. investigators say that an argument broke out before pierce opened fire. >> is very scary. tim: both men ran for their lives, but one died and the other is in serious condition. tonight, deputies are warning the public. >> keep an eye out for this individual. if they see him, call 911 right away. tim: if investigators find the suspect, we will let you know right away on wjla.com, social media, and right here on abc 7. reporting from charles county,

jonathan: an investigation is underway in philadelphia after a woman said her brakes failed before she crashed into a block party. paramedics took eight people to the hospital. the authorities say none of the injuries appear life-threatening. after the crash, the driver reportedly told the crowd she was trying to go around the people. nancy: the path to recovery after hurricane harvey and a sad update as the debt soul has risen to 60. the texas gulf coast still far from in the clear and there are new evacuations in houston as water is released from reservoirs, leaving homes underwater. others returning home to salvage what they can and try to start over. it's estimated 85% of these homeowners do not have flood insurance. also tonight maryland task force and virginia task force one are headed home after helping the victims on the ground. jonathan: amid the devastation in texas, we continue to see the best of humanity

16-year-old who is donating all of her summer earnings to the victims. anna-lysa gayle spoke to the young woman tonight and is live with the inspiring story. what would make her do something like this? anna-lysa: jonathan, she has a heart of gold. about two weeks ago for bridget, who was a junior at our lady of good counsel high school. she has decided to help those in need, providing a lesson in compassion. >> just seeing all the pictures and devastation, especially seeing people on the rooftops of their houses and everything covered in water was just crazy. mostlysa: while 16-year-olds may spend their money on clothing and gadgets, bridget is dedicating her entire summer earnings to families affected by harvey, the storm that has killed at least 60 people. reallyew that i did not
