it. molly hunter is in naples with the latest. molly: irma is now out of florida and what remains is marching north. in her wake, she left a path of devastation and so many homes with out power. the storm's incredible force unstoppable. in jacksonville, record flooding. the swollen rivers spilling into downtown. the mayor offering this advice. put would remind folks to something that represents a quite flagged if we need to get you out. in charleston, south carolina, this lake overflowing. in atlanta, georgia, more than 1000 flights canceled. made landfall met once, but twice.

entered its final chapter. a man suspected of kidnapping to young girls in 1975 has pleaded guilty to murder. jeff goldberg is live in maryland with more on the plea lloyd welch junior. jeff: lloyd welch did not say much in court, but he did plead guilty to the murders of sheila catherine lion in 1975. you are looking at lloyd welch inside the courtroom this morning pleading guilty to those murders. the parents of the sisters also in the courtroom, sitting in the first row. n sisters went missing in 1975 after a trip to the mall. the case went and lv

decades. the attorneys for lloyd welch, who was 18 at the time, said in court today that welch abduct did the two girls but did not sexually assault or murder the girls. his attorney implied that it was committed the crime. they do accuse him of burning the girls bodies and placing the remains on a remote mountain where his family owned land. family thanked the investigators who never stopped working on this case. >> we just want to say simply, thank you. long time, a long, and we are. we just want to go home. jeff: now, as part of this plea agreement, welch also pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a

county in 1996. welch is currently in jail in delaware for assaulting a 10 year old girl there. he will be serving prison time there and then will be brought to virginia to serve his 48 year girls.e for the lyon prosecutors suspect that at 60 years old, welch will not be a free man as long as he lives. adrianna: there is a $25,000 reward for a missing pregnant teacher. her family is offering the reward. her was time anyone saw the saturday before labor day. neighbors say she left her condo , and now her boyfriend is talking. >> i pray that she is safe and that she comes back. listening, it doesn't

discovery in chicago, a 19-year-old girl found dead inside of freezer sunday morning after she attended a party at the crown hotel. it is still unclear how she died. the autopsy proved inconclusive. investigators initially told the family she was intoxicated and walked into the freezer on her own. >> i believe someone in this hotel killed my child. now,nna: right investigators are reviewing a facebook live video from the party has evidence. connecticut has gone viral. take a look at this plane crash caught on camera. the plane was coming in for a landing when it swerved and hit a tree before crashing into the ground. amazingly, the pilot only suffered minor injuries. i am here with doug. that is crazy video. that looks

electricity. many who evacuated have no idea what to expect when they return home. >> there might be some trees down and some power lines, but i have a house, and i am so grateful. adrianna: residents are also dealing with no running water. thewoman says she filled up bathtub and several buckets ahead of time in hopes of getting by. florida.e picture from people are filling up with gas. there are long gas lines as people are making their way back to their homes to survey the damage and figure out what their next apps are. insaw people leaving florida -- next steps are. we saw people leaving florida in long lines for gas. now heading back, they are in long lines for gas. hurricane irma has been downgraded once again. it is now a post tropical depression. video froml getting the path of destruction.

rising to nearly unheard-of levels in irma's storm surge. take a look at this school in miami that has been closed indefinitely. the storm left a sailboat on the football field. the main school did not appear to suffer significant damage. take a look at this video from myrtle beach. a plane coming in to land and having to pull out at the last second after getting caught in the remnants of arm up. -- of irma. look at the flooding in charles to him, and jacksonville, f florida. jacksonville has not seen this kind of flooding in more than a century. nearly eight and a half million people are still without power. irma has left behind a path of destruction. holly harper's life for us in jacksonville with a look at all -- holly harpe

atjacksonville with a look the damage that has been done. holly: while other cities are cleaning up from the devastation that hurricane irma has left behind, here in jacksonville, the st. johns river is at the highest level that has ever been and threatening to overflow the banks again. all eyes here are on the rising waters. flash floods, power outages, downed trees, just some of the damage caused by the rest of irma. -- wrath of irma. a couple of hours, i thought it was coming down. it got scary. holly: the full extent of the devastation is still being determined. authorities are working to clear roads and bridges, and to restore power throughout the region. >> most people are without power. most stores are closed. there is a asked shortage.

also flooded savannah, georgia, jacksonville, florida, and charleston, south carolina. officials urging evacuees to be patient and return when there is approval. florida keys, where irma made landfall as a category 4 storm, were especially hard hit. this is the first time on record that the continental u.s. has been hit by two category 4 hurricanes in the same year. we are standing is called jacksonville landing. it is a place where people love to come down and enjoy the river. downan see stairs that go to the metal fence where people can walk along the river walk. if you were to walk along the river walk today, you would be walking in the

florida airports already .anceling their flights jacksonville canceled. both miami flights canceled. there is one flight to miami at 5:35 p.m. that still has a few seats left for $99. if you -- in total during this storm, more than 16,000 flights have been canceled. yesterday, american airlines flew in crew members and tsa members to help resume operations, but they are struggling with hotel rooms. crews are not able to stay overnight. they are flying them in and flying them out. they tell me 70% of their flights will be canceled today in miami. it will increase tomorrow. by friday, it will be up to 50%. they hope by the end of the weekend to be at 100% capacity. if you are flying the next couple of days, check in with your air carrier. there

prison. here he is pleading guilty to the murders. the parents and siblings of the yon sisters were sitting in the first row. this case went unsolved for decades, but in 2013, cold case investigators in montgomery county found evidence connecting lloyd welch to the abduction and murders. the attorney for lloyd welch, who was 18 at the time, said welch abductor the girls but did not sexually assault or murder the girls, implying it was welch's elders who committed those crimes. prosecutors say his story has changed many times. they accuse him of burning the girls bodies and burying them on mountain where he owned land at the time. today, the family thanked the investigators who never stopped working on this case. >>
