he was arrested last night after laura wallen's body was found in a shallow grave in damascus. she was a teacher as well like high school in howard county. she was last seen with her boyfriend september 2. at a grocery store her car was discovered several days later on september 7. police now think she was killed on the third. was four months pregnant. police say last night the last text her family received indicated that tessier was not the baby's father. appeared earlier this week at a press conference, saying he did not know where wallen was, it all he wanted was for her to come home safely. police say he knew all along where she was. he will face murder charges before he goes before a judge this afternoon. in rockville, suzanne kennedy, abc 7 news. adrianna: family, friends, students,

been started news of her death. john gonzalez is in columbia, maryland with more on how she is being remembered. howardap notice extra county library's -- we have noticed extra howard county police here in maryland. students were instructed on social media to wear black to school, and that is exactly what we have seen today -- the majority doing so in honor of their beloved teacher, who was killed, found dead yesterday. many of the students and staff still in absolute shock to hear of the news. taught social studies see her 2014. before that, she was over at murray hill middle school, eight years working for the school system here in howard county. an emotional superintendent saying in those eight years, she made a tremendous impact on hundreds if not thousands of students, saying there is no way for normalcy today. >> she was exemplary. she was one of our teachers of the year. she let with her heart, compassion.

it happened this morning near the 12th street exit. police say a trailer carrying concrete struck an overpass, causing a spill. luckily, no one was hurt, and crews were able to quickly clean up the mess. new at noon, police have arrested this man for attempted kidnapping on board a metro bus in northeast. this stems from an incident that accrued last night between miss brown and a seven-year-old. "when i get off this fuss, you are coming with me." eventually, passengers intervened, and she was arrested yesterday after being pulled over for an unrelated issue. plan toe working on a get massive border patrol, so we can be on a plan with daca. people want to see that happened here you have 830

to win an appeal like that. when you are filing an appeal, you are not trying to relitigate you ares, but what really trying to do is convince a court that the judge made mistakes, that the judge -- in this case, for example -- dismissed jurors that should not have been dismissed, allowed jurors on -- and i have made it, made legal rulings that, the defense that, were improper. adrianna: i remember this case back in 2002. i remembered him not being very remorseful. any insight into whether his attitude has changed? dan: no! his attitude is, "i did not do it."

detectives and police officers who focused on me from day one. i think that is part of what makes this so interesting is that 15 years later, we have a guy on death row who still maintains his absolute innocence. one of the things we focus on in the documentary is the fact that there really was not a lot of physical evidence in the case against peterson. get really do come down to come in many ways, his own statements, his own actions, which can be even more powerful than physical evidence. adrianna: thank you so much, dan, for your time.
