court. you confirmed that the man arrested is a retired cop. q: that is right. i made phone calls to tennessee. i find out he used to be a police officer with the memphis police department. he retired in 2013 for medical reasons and a member of the force for 13 years. he is used to putting people behind bars. that is where he finds himself today in d.c. >> this is the arsenal of the weapons 37-year-old timothy bates had with him when he was arrested sunday morning. a.k. 47, tech 9. laid out on the street across from the white house. secret service agents say they caught him urinating in front of the renwick art gallery. bates told the agent he was in town from tennessee to speak with mattis and the n.s.a. director mike rogers about the paychecks he didn't receiver and get dog chip removed from the back of his head. he was arrested and he

helping in the aftermath of hurricane irma and maria. in the coming hours, though, they are expected to finally come home. tim barber live at the rescue headquarters in chantilly. you spent a lot of time with the folks. they do amazing work. tim: they live for search and rescue. but they are not going to show up until 9:00 tonight. some of the folks told us in the last hour or so it's been a busy month for the task force. some were sent to houston for hurricane harvey, then florida for irma and then puerto rico for hurricane maria. they help with the storm prep and search and rescue afterwards. the first responder haves been away from the families for three weeks so this reunion is expected to be emotional. they are expected to land and hit the tarmac at 8:30 tonight at dulles. they will take buses and the equipment here to unload. we talk to them and the families. we will have the stories of the missions they had over there in puerto rico tonight

reporting live in fairfax county. tim barber, abc7 news. jonathan: thanks. as a rescue group returns home another is on the way. maryland task force one arrived in puerto rico today. that group includes doctors in addition to the first responders and the rescue unit. they are tasked with the search and rescue mission as well as surveying the damage to get the government resources where they are needed most. michelle: at this hour, 49 people are dead as a result of hurricane maria and the aftermath across the caribbean. that has officials on the outer banks in north carolina not taking chances. the evacuations are underway for ocracoke and hatteras island. meteorologist steve rudin is tracking maria with what people there and closer to home can expect. steve: the tropical storm watches are up and the winds will increase for them as they move through the next 24 to 36 hours. ocean city, rehoboth beach, dewey, bethesda. they will
