from 80, expect southbound delays. here is a look at maryland. the outer loop will slow down, getting onto the american legion bridge. looks like an accident on the bridge. be aware of that below river road. expect a lot more volume. also taking a look at 66 eastbound, near route 123. the eastbound ride, just had the left lane shut down. they cleared it a few moments ago, so that is good news. you can see it heading toward the beltway, the westbound side. so far, so good. we take a look at a bit of trouble on 95 in virginia, near quantico. this is southbound, near russell road, at the quantico exit. a minor incident. but we do have a slowdown from both directions, with the left lane blocked in this stretch near quantico and triangle, near mile 149.

adrianna: the shooting in las vegas has put pressure back on congress to pass stricter gun laws. democrats are demanding stricter gun laws, but the republican majority has made it clear that cracking down on gun rights is not on the agenda. in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, republicans offered their thoughts and prayers for the victims, something massachusetts senator elizabeth warren says is not good enough. some democrats in congress went as far as to blame their colleagues' inaction for the shooting.

especially close to home for late-night comedian jimmy kimmel. the host talked about it in his opening monologue last night. jimmy: here we are again, in the aftermath of another terrible, inexplicable, shocking, and painful tragedy, this time in las vegas, which happens to be my hometown. the guy was an accountant. --had no chemical record clinical record. his brother seems genuinely dumbfounded, so no sign of any of this. the owner of a store that sold the killer some of the rifles said he passed the government-mandated background check when he was in the store. he was not on any watchlist. search of religious extremists -- he came out of nowhere. because they were not any of the usual signs, you know -- i have been reading comments from people saying, this is terrible, but there is nothing we can do about it. but i

2:30 thursday afternoon when a man allegedly grabbed her and pulled her between cars, then inappropriately touched her. the girl was able to break free and get away. parents are waiting at the bus stop for children this morning, saying they are concerned they are learning for days after the attack of the child predator. >> really scary. you cannot let your kids walk around by their selves. there is a lot of bad people out there. like i hope whoever it is, they catch him, and all the parents out there, make sure you walk your child to the stop and pick your child up. that is important. suzanne: police say they are looking for a hispanic male, five foot eight inches tall. 200 50 pounds,d has black hair and a mustache. at the time, he was wearing a green shirt and black boots. if you know anything about the crime, call prince george's county police. suzanne kennedy, abc 7. adrianna: the redskins were close to pulling out a victory on the road against the kansas city

grieving beginning for many families who lost loved ones in the mass shooting in las vegas. in all, 59 are dead. more than 500 were injured. investigators are digging into what have -- what could have sparked the gunman to have. out the massacre. karen is in vegas with the latest on this. arrived here in vegas from d.c. last night. typically, there is the buzzy, busy feeling you get when you arrive at the airport. there was none of that. this feels like a day after -- somber and sedate on the vegas strip. hospitals are treating victims. friends and family want answers. police are still seeking a motive. here are just some of the 59 people who lost their lives in the las vegas mass shooting. there is still no motive, but here is what we do know. when officers found the shooter's hotel room, he started firing through the

the swat team to break in. when they entered, he was dead. president trump called the shooter a sick, demented man, but did not say if the attack should be considered domestic terrorism. president trump: we have a tragedy. what happened in las vegas is in many ways a miracle. the police department has done such an incredible job, and we will be talking about gun laws. the president and first lady are visiting puerto rico today, but will visit las vegas when they return. we are hearing stories of total strangers helping each other during the shooting. >> a gentleman -- i do not know his name and can barely remember what he looked like -- he covered me. he covered my face. he said, i have got you. it is truly incredible. a stranger jumping over me to protect me. karin: at one point, they took off their shoes. sadly, one man

a 23-year-old at the concert with his girlfriend. she somehow escaped, and had no idea what happened to her boyfriend, until she gets in touch with heather, who had his phone. said, be honest with me. tell me. is he ok? i said, no, honey. he has passed away. the next several hours, the complete stranger would be into communication with jordan's family, from his mother to his grandparents. heather: i promised his girlfriend that i would not leave him, that i would make sure she knew where he was going to go, what was going to happen, that they knew who he was. home: there was one more reason she stayed with jordan. looking down at the man who had just died in her arms, she realized that could have been her. heather: i kept thinking about if this was me. people stay with me? would they make sure that i was ok? that they
