charlottesville and across the commonwealth trying to take action against white supremacists. how they may be able to stop their torch-lit rallies. >> now, abc 7 news at 11:00, on your side. kimberly: good evening. i'm kimberly suiters, joined by meteorologist josh knight. we are tracking rain for columbus day. josh: if you have to get to work tomorrow morning, you will likely see a slow go, windy weather and rain from nate. the big picture, as the storm continues to move to the north and east at a pretty big speed, moving at about 23 miles per hour. a lot of moisture with it. right now, just a few light showers moving through tonight into early tomorrow morning, when we get the heavier downpours. rain

no deaths or injuries reported in the u.s. because of the storm. it did spawn tornadoes. severalter destroyed homes and uprooted trees in south carolina. funnel clouds also spinning in north carolina. in mississippi, a roof destroyed, window shattered. >> i heard something like a train, like an amtrak train, just rolling, and glass was flying like bullets. kimberly: the coast flooded heavily. a storm surge sweeping into beach hotels and casinos, cars and five feet of seawater bouncing around. president trump twitting tonight fema and first responders are working hard again on hurricane nate. military helping, very much under control. meantime, people in puerto rico are still waiting for help, now two weeks after hurricane maria devastated the island.

charlottesville police will be working with the commonwealth attorney's office on legal action after the rally. the demonstration caught a lot of people offguard. torch-wielding white nationalists gathered in charlottesville saturday night, a flash alrally of about three dozen people gathering for about 30 minutes, enough to unnerve people across the street. >> it was unexpected. i had not heard anything about this happening. i had to make sure my jewish community is safe. q: many demonstrators wore white t-shirts chanting "we will be back" and "you will not replace us." the mayor hinted that some type of legal action against the group in a tweet saturday night. but as the former mayor of charlottesville, he offered this

>> technically there may be some prohibition against open flames in a space. and if you find out who these people were coming you may be up to charge them. governor terry mcauliffe said they are monitoring the situation as they oppose the racist and their message of hateful stop virginia don'tor tim kaine said, " come back, virginia is for lovers, not haters, we refuse to be dragged into this." kimberly: tonight marks one week since a gunman opened fire on a country music festival in las vegas. 58 people were killed, more than 500 injured. loved ones and the community gathered to remember those who died. a vigil was held all along the strip. as will be dimmed for 11 minutes for the victims and heroes. the police say that stephen paddock carefully calculated his plans from a hotel room.
