at nats stadium in southeast, melissa dipane, abc7 news. alison: an update about the human remains that washed ashore in anne arundel county. police believe it's a white or asian woman. mid-20's to early 30's. who went missing in the past year. the remains were found wednesday afternoon near holly and chesapeake drive in shady side. new at 5:00 tonight, there were arrests after white nationalists at richard spener's speech at the university of florida yesterday. three men were taken into custody after a shot was fired at a group of people but hit a nearby building. they are charged with attempted murder. authorities say the guys made nazi salutes and shouted hitler chants. jonathan: now the crisis in the caribbean. the death toll in puerto rico is going up tonight. a month after hurricane maria slammed the island. 49 people have been killed. the latest death, though, came from bacterial disease that is spread through animals'

there are cases that are linked to dirty drinking water. they are getting desperate for water. growing concern of sanitation after the storm washed out the water. 30% is without clean water. alison: today, superior court judge rejected a request for a new trial for a man convicted of double murder. the case came to be known as the male love triangle. sam ford live at the courthouse with the latest tonight. sam? sam: well, alison, originally this was to have been jeffrey neil's sentencing date for the double murder conviction. but instead chief judge listened to arguments for a new trial. defense attorney argued the prosecution violated agreements and created facts and closing arguments against the 24-year-old neil that turned the jury against him. neil and two roommates live in a rooming house, row house in northwest washington. the defense argued they had a love strangle. jealousy led

kill wingfield and then try to kill neil but lost the fight. prosecutors convince a jury that neil killed both of them for whatever reason and tried to lie his way out of it. while judge moran seemed to agree that the defense had reason to complain he did not believe a new trial would change the result. >> the client is extremely heartbroken. we actually thought we had enough here for a new trial. i think the court evaluatedded it closely and came very delosse to granting a new trial. and chose not to do it -- and chose not to do it. sam: the judge rescheduled stensing for october 30. he will face minimum, minimum of 60 years for the two murder convictions. his attorney says neil's family already hired him to file an appeal with the

2-year-old joseph dudek dried after a three-drawer dresser tipped over on him in the naptime. the family attorney says no one else was in the room with the child when it happened. the child died in may. bonnets of the story is just now coming to light as the family's attorney released some of the details. 29 million of the dressers, part of the mom line at ikea were recalled because of the furniture likelihood to tip forward if not secured to the wall. the consumer product safety commission estimates every 24 minutes a child goes to the emergency room as a result of a tip over incident. despite ikea's recall and public awareness campaign estimated as few as 3% of the owners of the million of recalled dresser got the repair it can or a re -- repair kit or refund. if you have a dresser, get the free anchoring kit. you can install it yourself or ikea will do it for f
