"abc7 news at 4:00" starts right now. michelle: we begin with breaking news. i'm michelle marsh from the "live desk." this is lower manhattan to the west side highway to be exact. you are seeing the live picture. an active investigation underway right now. early indications that one person is now being reported dead after a road rage incident. here is how the vents unfolded according to the police and the witnesses. we understand that one person got in a road rage incident with another driver. that then led to a verbal altercation. then after that, we understand that shots were fired. you are looking live at a live

we understand four people were hurt in all of this. apparently a truck of some type went up the west side highway on what is being described as a bike path. that is where the four people were hurt. we understand one person is dead. according to nypd, they put out a tweet not too long ago and they say the situation is under control, there is no current threat to anyone else in the area. but they do have one person in custody. at this time we are not sure if that is one of the drivers who opened fire or if it is someone else. but according to nypd, they are no longer looking for anyone. it seems pretty early in the investigation to come out with that declaration but they certainly have more information that is being made available to us right now. that is the latest. one dead after an apparent road rage incident. very active scene. of course, this being rush hour in new york city. lower manhattan. a very busy place at this time. so for that portion of

news came today so we showed you this video last week. of when this happened. height of lunch hour. a car comes crashing through the wall. for several days we thought this was a story of a miracle. this car blasting in here. nobody dying. but sadly we learned today that 73-year-old isaiah pugh, one of those injured here, has succumb to his injuries. he was here having a meeting about the boy scouts. he is a long-time volunteer. a leader in the scouts. he was meeting with the chairman of the boy scouts to do good deeds to look after good people when the car came crashing in. it was a violent crash. the police officers, the firefighters were in the establishment. they rushed to help. they tried to get people to safety. we said we thought it would be the story of a
