note saying that he carried out the attack in the name of isis. he is out of surgery at this hour and is in custody. alison: this was in lower manhattan, not far from the world trade center. we have team coverage digging into the suspect's background as well as new information on security at home. we start with anna-lysa gayle, live in new york city. anna-lysa, what do we know so far about the victims? alison and jonathan, about 30 minutes ago we learned five of the people killed were tourists from argentina in new york city for a high school reunion. i will step out of the way to give a better idea of the active investigation going on as the police comb through the evidence left behind on chamber straight. canou look closely, you still see the school bus that the suspect crashed into.

apparently talking to his mom as well. he was not on the radar as far as on any terror watch list. he was not being looked at as a possible terrorist in this country. he did, however, leave a note inside of the pickup truck saying why he carried out the attack, and he carried it out for isis. the note was written in english. jonathan: did we get a sense this was a lone wolf, somebody connected with a network to others, maybe the threat is still out there? k.: law enforcement says this seems to be a lone wolf attack. it does not seem to be part of any bigger or wider plot. we heard from mayor bill de blasio of new york city, who said the same thing during a news conference. what we are seeing in new york city is stepped up security
