happened inside of the house and the woman's daughter was trying to desperately intervene. alison: tim barber on the scene of a harness case as the police are trying to unravel this tonight. what do we know? tim: the details of this horrifying attack sound like they are from the script of a horror movie. chainsaw, fairfax county police say the 70-year-old man attached a 76-year-old woman this afternoon with the hatchet. the brutal attack on spring hill drive was stopped. the daughter was able to snatch the hatchet away from the man. he then went back into the house and killed himself with a chainsaw. this neighbors all part of the attack from her window. >> i've never seen anything like that. i don't know if he was on medication. i have no idea.
