gear to students. plus, airport scare overnight, flames shooting out of this airliner in seattle. and masterpiece mystery. what's been found embedded in this van gogh painting. we do say good morning on this wednesday. we'll start with president trump touching down in beijing overnight. >> he's having tea and touring the forbidden city with the chinese president. the most critical meeting of his asia tour comes just hours after he delivered a sharply worded message to north korea slamming kim jong-un's human rights record and nuclear ambitions but refraining from any name-calling or inflammatory language. >> the press secretary sarah sanders says the president was frustrated after he tried to pay a visit to the demilitarized zone but was forced to turn around because of bad weather. abc's karen travers is traveling with the president.

>> reporter: good morning. president trump today here in seoul, south korea said he will not allow the united states to be threatened by north korea and america will not be intimidated. the president said he came here to the peninsula to deliver a message directly to kim jong-un and it was the most aggressive rhetoric we've heard from him on this trip. president trump was speaking before the south korean legislature, talking directly to kim jong-un telling the north korean dictator do not underestimate and do not try the united states. >> the weapons you are acquiring are not making you safer, they are putting your regime in grave danger. every step you take down this dark path increases the peril you face. north korea is not the paradise your grandfather envisioned. it is a hell that no person deserves. >> reporter: the president says there is a path to a better future for north kor

we're back with a bit of a scare at seattle's airport. flames could be seen shooting out the engine of this hawaiian airlines plane. the airbus a330 had just landed and no passengers were on board. the plane's fire extinguishing system did its job and to one was injured. new york law enforcement sources say a sexual assault case against harvey weinstein will be presented to a grand jury as early as next week. paz de la huerta claims weinstein assaulted her twice in 20 2010. a new report says he silenced accusers by paying spies to dig up information on them. weinstein's accusers are posting a list of more than 100 claims of harassment, abuse and rape against him. meanwhile, police in los angeles confirm they're investigating sexual assault chairmans made by corey feldman.

coming in to the newsroom overnight. take a look-- witnesses recorded after seeing a jet engine catch fire while taxiing at sea-tac airport. airport officials say the hawaiian airlines jet only had a crew onboard when the fire started. the plane still landedsafely and the fire was extinguished. no one was injured. right now-- the national transportation safety board is investigating a crash that killed former major league pitcher roy halladay. the two-time cy young award winner was piloting his plane when it crashed in shallow water off florida's west coast. no one else was on-board. halladay retired in 20-13 after playing for both the blue jays and the phillies. he was just 40 years old. happening today-- former president barack obama will be in chicago-- for jury duty. the former president has long been outspoken about the importance of civic engagement-- and aides say the president will be there to fufill his civic d
