woman hit and killed in silver spring, may be a case of hit and run. us fromsey joins columbia pike. tom, what happened out there? tom: this happened in the southbound lanes. the woman was crossing the street when she was hit by at least one car. her body when all the way behind the police car. we know that one vehicle stopped. the driver of that vehicle stopped, but the police are investigating exactly what happened and how many vehicles hit the woman. ins happened about 6:40 p.m. the evening rush hour. the police have not identified her. even though one driver stopped, there could be another out there who did not. presentede has been --

to high-tech measures designed to be a convenience for us, what a thief can copy your own key. >> we will ship you a perfect copy in the mail. >> they even share your keys. horace: it was designed to quickly and easily reproduce keys without going to a locksmith. key one a picture of the both sides and said it to the company. you then go to a kiosk located around town. but what if somebody else copies your key and you don't even know it's happening? 7 on your side used our newsroom as a test. we found five sets of keys left unattended in plane site on colleagues' desks. within a couple minutes, we grabbed the keys, took pictures come and walked off. we set the pictures. within a couple days of sending the pictures, we have
