month before the alabama special election for u.s. senate, new claims republican candidate roy moore made sexual advances toward teenage girls decades ago. >> these aren't fuzzy memories. these are, you know, women who are very certain and confident about what happened to them. >> reporter: we spoke with one of the authors of the exclusive "the washington post" story in which four women say they had romantic encounters with or prop signatures from moore when he was in his mid-30s and they were teenagers including one who was just 14 years old in 1979. now 53, lea says moore took her to his house on two occasions and on the second visit he took off her shirt and pants and removed his clothes and touched her over her bra and underpants and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear. >> crime, corruption, immorality, abortion, sodomy, sexual perversion sweep our land. >> reporter: the controversial judge is denying the claims saying this a statement

now to the other big story in washington, your taxes. the senate has just unveiled its own tax plan with major differences compared to the house version. the senate plan would delay a reduction in the corporate tax rate until 2019. it keeps popular deductions for medical expenses and student loan interest, but it does eliminate all state and local tax deductions. critics and experts say the wealthy will benefit the most but president trump's chief economic adviser says the benefits of the plan will, quote, trickle down through the economy. i don't believe we're set out to create a tax cut for the wealthy. if someone is getting a tax cut i'm not upset they're getting a tax cut. >> it's now up to congress to work out the differences between the two. president trump says he wants a bill on his desk by christmas. and president trump is now in his fourth stop of his asia tour in vietnam for the apec summit. >> plenty of anticipation that the president would meet with the russian leader vladimir putin. but overnight we were told a meeting will not be

abc's karen travers is there in vietnam. karen. >> reporter: good morning, kendis and diane. after a week of one-on-one visit, the president kicks off the summit portion of his 13-day trip. the president will spend the next couple of days in large sessions with world leaders but there's that one meeting with president putin that's not on his schedule that's getting all of the attention. president trump arriving at the apec summit in da nang, vietnam, trade and growth on the top of his agenda. leaders here anxious to see what trump's america first policies mean for them in the wake of him pulling out of the transpacific partnership original trade agreement. the president saying when it comes to trade, he won't let the u.s. be taken advantage of anymore. >> we will from now on expect that our partners will faithfully follow the rules just like we do. >> reporter: it's a packed schedule for president trump over the next 24 hours but one thing is

with russian president vladimir putin. president trump had said last week he expected he would meet with putin telling reporters he wants the russian president's help on north korea. the white house cited scheduling conflicts but press secretary sarah sanders said it's possible and likely the two presidents could bump into each other and say hello. of course, the ongoing russia investigation looms large over the trump white house. yesterday secretary of state rex tillerson told us in beijing that there was no reason to schedule a meeting between president trump and president putin unless the two leaders could come to some significant progress on syria and ukraine. >> they say it's still possible they will have an informal chat. karen, thanks. the russia investigation. the president's longtime bodyguard is revealing details about a trip he took with his boss to moscow. now, sources say keith schiller told congressional investigators in 2013 he rejected an offer to send five russian women to donald trump's hotel room.

of attacking his neighbor, senator rand paul has pleaded not guilty to assault. dr. rene boucher is accused of tackling paul while he was doing yard work. a judge ordered him to stay away from the senator who is recovering from six broken ribs and fluid around his lungs. boucher's lawyer denies any political motive. neighbors say the two were fighting over leaves and lawn clippings. they have been neighbors for 17 years. police in georgia say if you're planning to rob a bank, don't stop on your way out for a tv news interview. a man named eric rivers learned that lesson. he's now in custody after stopping to answer questions from a tv reporter about traffic conditions and using his real name. police say he had just robbed a bank. the interview is now part of the key evidence. traffic must be really bad in that town. and now to another unusual burglary in southern california. check it out. that's a bear that broke into this house to steal the cat food right out of the cat's dish. the cat

while at the cosmopolitan. he says simpson wasn't even given a reason for why he was thrown out. >> there was no incident whatsoever. completely exaggerated. made up and false. >> he says simpson contacted his parole officer and passed drug and alcohol tests. his parole bans him from excessive drinking but he could be arrested if he returns to that hotel. the university of louisiana and one of its fraternities are facing two lawsuits after a deadly crash blamed on a hazing ritual. a pledge from the kappa sigma fraternity says he was forced to stay awake and act as a designated driver and fell asleep at the wheel and struck and killed a foreign exchange student. in their lawsuit the driver and family of the opportunity who died says the university should have known about the culture of hazing on campus. the new york city fire department says a school where a boy with a dairy allergy died after eating a grilled cheese never called 911.
