combat that is going on between alabama senate candidate roy moore and the senate's republican leadership. >> so moore is unequivocally denying claims of a woman who says he assaulted her as a teenager. more republicans are calling for him to exit the race with the election weeks away. >> and mitch mcconnell saying he doesn't believe roy moore's denials. we get more from kenneth moten. >> reporter: gop candidate roy moore digging in and responding to new sexual misconduct allegations and new calls for him to quit the alabama senate race. >> race being 28 days off, this is a political maneuver and has nothing to do with reality. it's all about politics. >> reporter: the "washington post" report being moore's accused of molesting a 14 year old girl and dating teens when he was district attorney nearly 40 years ago. but monday, another accuser stepped forward saying moore abused her while she was a minor.

>> i was terrified. he was also trying to tear my shirt off. i thought that he was going to rape me. >> reporter: he says moore wrote in her high school yearbook calling her a beautiful girl and signing it "love roy moore." >> mr. moore attacked me when i was a child. i did nothing to deserve this sexual attack. >> i can tell you without hesitation, this is absolutely false. i never did what she said i did. i don't even know the woman. >> reporter: more than 41 republican senators say he should step aside if the allegations are true. >> do you believe these allegations to be true? >> i believe the women, yes. >> we are looking at whether or not someone to mount a write-in campaign successfully. >> reporter: moore fired back, tweeting the person who should step aside is mitch mcconnell. he has failed conservatives and must be replaced. #drain the swamp. he promised to discredit his accusers.

be moved. moore's name will be on the ballot and she will vote for him. >> if moore's elected next mondays, his colleagues could choose to expel him with a two-thirds vote. then alabama's governor would name a replacement. and get this, attorney general jeff sessions' name has been floated as a possible appointee to his old seat. sources tell us that session isn't in favor of that. they claim sessions' return to the senate is unlikely. meanwhile, sessions has told senior justice department prosecutors to look into whether a special counsel should be appointed to look into donations to the clinton foundation and the sale of uranium to a russian company. he ordered prosecutors to look into that, ten days after the president said he was frustrated with sessions for not investigating democrats. sessions is sure to face

when he testifies before congress. and now to stunning revelations about private twitter messages between donald trump jr. and wikileaks. the group believed to have been used by russia to influence the election. the correspondence first reported by the "atlantic" newspaper started during the campaign and continued through this summer. in one instance, then candidate trump tweeted that wikileaks had incredible information only 15 minutes after wikileaks contacted his son. don jr. recently turned over the correspondence to congress. he tweeted screen shots of the messages himself saying here's the entire chain with my whopping three responses, which one of the congressional committee has chosen to selectively leak. how ironic. >> reporter: president trump is heading home after two weeks trying to strengthen ties with the pacific rim. he capped off his tour of asia with another summit in manila, saying he made many good friends, among
