announcer: from abc7 news, this is a breaking news alert. michelle: breaking news from northern california where a shooting rampage has ended after winding through a small town and ending at a school. at this hour we know five people are dead including a gunman. jonathan: the carnage stretches across half a dozen crime zones. tom roussey putting the pieces together and joins us from the "live desk." >> the gunman killed four people and at least ten others were injured. children are among the injured but were not among those killed. the sheriff office in tehama county, california, says officers responded to shooting scenes all over the small town. seven different shooting scenes in all. this started with domestic violence. the shooter went on a rampage and randomly shooting

stafford. stephen tschida is there tonight. part of the debate involves of all things oddly enough the cartoon character shrek? >> yeah, that is right. shrek cards providing instructions. the provisional votes counted and the absentee vote thrown out and the republican in the house of delegate race in stafford declared the victor. >> the naacp tried for and failed to get an injunction to delay tally of the provisional ballots. shrek cards given to the provisional voters provided instructions on how to invalidate the ballot. >> is there any discussion? >> yes, there is. >> the electoral board decided not to count 55 absentee ballots since they arrived after the polls closed. possibly because they were picked up late. this vote after heated debate. >> i have to vote to exclude the
