giant of the runway for a dry run ahead of winter's work. alison: we begin at 4:00, heroic from firefighters and neighbors who say two people from a house fire in temple hill. jonathan: two were hurt trying to put the fire out. nancy: stephen tschida is live with the story of those who ran to help. stephen? stephen: the two occupants a son and his elderly mother in critical condition. two firefighters rushed to the burn unit. they suffered burns to the ears, their fire so intense. the clean-up underway. this house gutted by the flames and the smoke. the neighbors trying desperately to save the occupants. the fire, too intense. the call came in at 12:30. a house engulfed in flames. a passerby saw the man t

outside the home. >> he came to the side door and called for her. "come mom, we have to go." stephen: after neither appeared the neighbors tried to get in the house to rescue them but the flames and the smoke drove them back. eventually firefighters were able to pull them from the house. >> we care about them, we love them. this is an unfortunate event. the neighbors are devastated by what has happened to the neighbors. the son was a primary care-giver up until this time. they are in critical condition. the cause is under investigation. stephen tschida, abc7 news. nancy: developing now a massive warehouse fire. flames smooting from the build -- shooting from the building and causing it to partially collapse. the

unite isolating the north korean regime. >> president trump talked about the stock market. and optimism for the future. alison: a special education teacher facing charges accused of selling heroin and prescription drugs on school grounds and she was busted yesterday. we have more on the charges with brad bell. brad: this is a stunner. monica snee a teacher at parkside high school here in salisbury. arrested yesterday. she has worked for them for 17 years. a special ed teacher here. we are told one of the alleged customers decided he wanted to kick the habit. the sheriff department saying he wanted to kick the demon and he turned in the dealer. the dealer allegedly monica snee.

and they watched her at locations throughout the county but especially here at the high school. they saw her making deals on school prompt. yesterday they moved in. >> there was 170 bundles of heroin. there was over 300 oxycodone bills and several trips of soboxone and empty baggies for putting the product in. with almost $3,000 of cash. nancy: the sheriff says it just adds up to a dealer. brad: this is a picture of all the staff. we are still working the story and we'll be back at 5:00 with more. nancy: thank you. volunteer firefighters are under investigation after

charges. this was allegedly record and shared on snapchat. tom roussey with the latest on the case. tom: strasburg, virginia, is a small town. less than 7,000 people live here. within the town limits there is only one fire station. so the accusations have shocked a lot of people. >> i had a concerned citizen approach me and say they had heard activity was taking place. >> that was april. soon after the family of the alleged victim met with him as well. he went to the town manager and the police. >> it was the police chief's suggestion we look into having the state conduct the investigation. we felt that was best. tom: virginia state police confirmed that the investigation is still active. cour

accusations that five firefighters committed multiple sex acts with a then 17-year-old girl at a hotel and one of the men's homes and they allegedly share video of it on snapchat. in a text shared by the mother the teen writes, "they just intimidated me in general." and she said the sex with one firefighter was "not consensual." a firefighter told me off-camera he and the others wanted to gather more facts before responding publicly but there were holes in the teen's accusation. no charges have been filed. tom roussey, abc7 news. alison: shots were fired on interstate 295. a man was shot several times and found inside a parked car on a ramp in northeast. the gunman is still on the run. the victim was rushed to the hospital. there is no word on his condition. jonathan: puerto rico is dealing with another major black out two months after hurricane maria. the power lines

nancy: new developments about the shooting spree in california. the gunman kevin neil shot and killed his wife and hid her body under the floorboards a day before going on the deadly rampage. marci gonzalez with the latest. marci: investigators say the rampage that left five people dead and a dozen injured began in the gunman's own home. that he found the body of the wife under the floorboard. prosecutors say neil was out on bail on assault with a deadly weapon charge accused of stabbing his neighbor in january. the neighbor may have been a target on tuesday. >> the first call came in at 7:54 a.m. and the gunman shooting in homes and driving to this elementary sch
