continues. where this desperate search continues. >> this manhunt going more throughout the day. take a look behind me. you can see baltimore police have set up a perimeter around this area. they are carefully going through this neighborhood searching for evidence to try to help identify the shooter. i want to get you to some video because a couple minutes ago, there was a group of cadets with buyers in their hand going door-to-door asking folks for information and also searching in the grasp recluse. righ-- grass for clues. the detective who was shot is fighting to survive. he was following up on a homicide investigation in the area, a pretty violent neighborhood in west baltimore. the commissioner says the detective approached a man engaged in suspicious behavior. he went over to try to talk to him, and that is when he was shot in the head. the detective's partner was nearby and rushed

that happened in prince george's county. gunfire exchanged between two vehicles led to a car crash. two victims were located inside one of the vehicles with injuries related to the crash. three suspect inside the other vehicle fled the scene. they are still on the run at this hour. this just in from fairfax county. a student accuses a teacher of ripping off her hijab. she said she was talking to a friend when the teacher she appreciated and valued came up from behind and removed it. fairfax county public schools issued a statement that says in part "the teachers action was inappropriate and acceptable." the admin assertion apologized to the student and family. the teacher is only while investigating the incident. who can forget this video? a woman caught on camera looking into a howard county mcdonald's and stealing food and cash from the drive-through.
