>> all of the accusers either worked for rose or try to the work for him at the "charlie rose show." they detail some incidents involving groping, nudity and harassing phone calls. now rose has been suspended by cbs, pbs and bloomberg. linsey davis has more. >> reporter: stunning accusations of sexual harassment and assault against iconic journalist charlie rose. eight women have come forward in the "washington post" with damning allegations against the host of the prestigious charlie rose show. one of rose's assistants in the mid 2000s tells about a dozen instances where rose walked nude in front of her and would call her late at night to describe fantasies of seeing her swimming naked. another woman who worked at the show describes a drive she took and he put his hand on

i tensed up. i pulled my legs to the other side of the car, i tried not to get in a car with him ever again. i think he was testing me out. several of the accusers said they told the long-time executive producer about their experience. one described their response as a shrug and saying that's just charlie being charlie. rose is also a co-host of cbs this morning. but none of the accusers worked with him at cbs. in a statement to the post, rose said it is essential that these women know i hear them and i deeply apologize for my inappropriate behavior, i am greatly embarrassed. he went on to say that i always thought i was pursuing shared feelings. even though i now realize i was mistaken. cbs has suspended rose, and pbs will halt production and distribution of his show. also want to add that his long-time producer says she should have stood up for the women and regrets that he didn't help them. linsey davis, new york. in the meantime on capitol hill, a new allegation this morning.

john conyers, the longest-serving democrat in congress settled a complaint two years ago from a woman who claims she was fired for rejecting his sexual advances. she was reportedly paid more than $27,000 to settle the complaint under a confidentiality agreement. and the president is heading to mar-a-lago to spend thanksgiving with his family, but he's still not uttering a word about roy moore after women accused him of sexual misconduct when they were teenagers. and when moore was a prominent attorney. but kellyanne conway suggests that republicans should choose him because they need his vote on tax reform. well, the trump administration is suing to block that merging between at&t and time-warner. a new government lawsuit claims that if the companies joined

competition and increase prices for millions of americans. the anti-trust division says the president was not involved in filing suit, but the opposition to the deal goes all the way back to the campaign. >> at&t is buying time-warner and thus cnn, a deal we will not approve in my administration, because it's too much concentration of power in the hands of too few. >> okay, right there, that could be a problem. some believe statements like that could potentially undermine the justice department's legal case in this. the ceo of at&t says he doesn't know if the government's lawsuit is all about the president's dislike of cnn which is known, but he says at&t won't agree to any deal that will result in it losing control of the news network. and now to a legal blow to president trump. a federal judge has permanently blocked his executive order targeting sanctuary cities, calling it unconstitutional on its face, that means the administration will not be allowed to cut funding to cities that limit cooperation with

immigration officials. the judge said the president cannot set limits on funding approved by congress. north korea is back on the u.s. list of states that sponsor terrorism. one of the events used to justify the return to the list was the assassination of kim jong un's brother at an airport in february. new u.s. sanctions aimed at forcing north korea to stop its nuclear program will be announced today. secretary of state rex tillerson says the move is not a signal to kim jong un that diplomacy is off the table. >> this just continues to tighten the pressure on the kim regime, all with an intention to have him understand this is only going to get worse, until you're ready to come and talk. >> president george w. bush removed north korea from the state sponsored terror list in 2008. meanwhile, kim jong un has made a new move to control his own people. he banned gatherings that involved singing and drinking. the united states took part in an airstrike at a drug lab of

it's the first significant operation under the strategy announced by president trump last august. the top u.s. general in afghanistan says the taliban generate about $200 million a year from poppy cultivation and opium production. and opium production in afghanistan has nearly doubled this year. the union for border patrol agents is calling the death of an agent in texas an ambush. the agent had found signs of a group near the border, but they don't know how many attacked him. the agent's partner doesn't know what happened either. the governor of texas is offering a $20,000 reward for information. and breaking overnight, one u.s. airman is dead after the crash of a jet used for training in west texas. the t-38 talon was flying out of laughlin air force base. about 14 miles from the base, you see the smoke in the distance. it usually carries an instructor and student.

and who may have been injured in the crash. and the ntsb is investigating two more runway incursions at san francisco international airport. both of them involve planes on runways where they shouldn't have been in the first place. one of them forced an aborted landing. the news comes amid ongoing investigations into two other incidents at the same airport involving air canada planes. the faa says over the past year there were more than 1700 runway incursions. nationwide. federal investigators have released new details about the crash that killed roy halladay. a preliminary report says he was flying over 100 miles per hour over the gulf of mexico and his plane climbed slightly before diving into the water. right now no blame is being placed on that incident. the preliminary report was based on information from eyewitnesses and the plane's data recorder. monday night football action and a lot of drama until the very end with the falcons leading the seahawks by 11.
