i recommend to wait another hour or two hours to be safe. a lot of the interstates having trouble in the area at this time. >> a traffic alert on the roads. the crews are racing to finish repairs on the outer loop of the beltway where it goes over suitland road in prince george's county. that is the same area where a major construction project underway for months. but the work is expected to finish at some point tonight. so that is good news. we are continuing the team coverage for you with those flying. you need to know a few things. sam sweeney is joining us. it's dicey. sometimes you get there, wide open.

trailers while they rebuild. michelle: closer to home, a rough summer for the coastline along ocean city, maryland. storms went up and down the coast each leaving the mark. jonathan: now the race goes on to repair the damage. brad bell gives us a firsthand look. >> on this brisk november day, the ocean city beach is a surprisingly busy place. a $12.1 million project to rebuild the beach is in full swing. it's usually done every four years but this year it was needed a year early. a messy but a simple project. sand is picked up by the shore and pumped through massive pipes to the beach where the bulldozers spread it around. it will give vacationers a place to some day but most protect the tap from the hurricanes and the storm surges. what it does is protect our property. it prevented $900 million in
