the pacific, the search for the three missing sailors has been called off. the plane was carrying 11 people, eight were recovered in good condition, but the remaining three are considered whereabouts unknown. this is the third major crash since june, involving the navy's seventh fleet. a total of 17 sailors died in the first two incidents involving ship crashes. the cause of this latest plane crash is still unknown. and there are major developments in the search for the missing argentine navy submarine, that vessel with 44 people on board as it vanished. >> family members left in tears after an explosion was detected nine days ago. ian pannell has more on that. >> reporter: agony and anger as officials say an underwater sound detected last week could be an explosion, dashing the hopes for the relatives of 44 missing sailors aboard the lost

they killed my brother, this man says. wednesday, u.s. officials reported it had recorded a hydro akuftal anomaly, using instruments like these, hours after the sub went missing. argentine officials say the noises were short, violent and non-nuclear, consistent with an explosion. the wife of one of the crew members co members told her the submarine sank to 3,000 meters and could be on the ocean floor. it was returning from a mission in the southern tip of adjacent when it reported an electrical fault, losing contact on the morning of november 15. crews have been searching a radi radi radius of 77 miles, battling rough seas where the depth can reach 10,000 feet. argentine officials say they'll continue exhausting all efforts in their search. but experts are warning that the sub may now be out

if it is at the extreme depth many fear, it may not be possible to recover it at all. ian pannell, abc news, london. former national security adviser michael flynn reportedly has cut ties with president trump's legal team. "the new york times" was first to report that flynn's attorneys had informed the president's team they would stop discussing robert mueller's investigation with them. according to "the times," the move could be a sign flynn may have negotiated a deal, but it doesn't prove that. president trump spent part of thanksgiving day thanking u.s. troops and thanking himself for the recent military achievements. he started with a teleconference in mar-a-lago, telling troops deployed overseas that they've made more progress under his watch than they did under president obama. >> we're being talked about again as an armed forces. we're really winning. we know how to win. but we have to let you win. they weren't letting you win

>> reporter: now has two new accusers, a total of four. the latest women tell the huffington post, the minnesota democratic grabbed their back sides. one said it happened while posing for a photo at a women's political event. the other said after groping her at a fund-raiser he suggested they visit the bathroom together, saying, my immediate reaction was disgust. but my secondary reaction was disappointment. franken told the huffington post, it's difficult to respond to anonymous accusers and i can't remember those campaign events. now a third woman accuses michigan's john conyers of wrongdoing. melanie sloan, a high profile washington lawyer, said he was harassed and verbally abused when she worked for the congressman in the 1990s. >> there was the time i walked into his office and he was in a shirt and underwear. >> reporter: despite calls to resign even from within his own party, conyers' lawyer said, quote, that is not going to

happen. and that if people were required to resign over allegations, a lot of people would be out of work in in country, including the president. and the newest congressman caught up in scandal says he may be the victim of a potential crime -- revenge porn. hours after texas congressman joe barton apologized for a naked sexually explicit photo that leaked online, "the washington post" released transcripts from a 2015 recording in which barton confronts an unidentified woman to whom he sent explicit photos and messages. barton said, i'm ready i hf should take all this crap to the capitol hill police and have them launch an investigation. and if i do that, that hurts me potentially big time. the senior house republican says he was separated from his wife at the time and that he had other consensual sexual relationships with adult women. he said, this woman admitted that we had a consensual relationship. when i ended that relationship,
