they were found in a townhouse in landover. neighborsner spoke to and has new information just released in this developing story. reporter: the backdoor looks like it was forced open. >> i heard some banging and rumbling around. reporter: travis thomas looks next door to a family he thought had moved out. that is before detectives moved in around 10:00 saturday night. husband and wife were very nice to me, and i know they had a law child. reporter: police got a call from concerned family member. located inomes landover. police telling us 34-year-old song killed her two-year-old son , joseph wang, and took her own life. both died from asphyxiation.

>> i would see her out and about spending a majority of time with her kids. that a shocking. reporter: several neighbors tell us the house is empty in the family only lived in it for about six months. police say the mother in son were living in -- >> we don't want that to ruin us, but we cannot predict it. reporter: unpredictable for a family who seemed to fit into a neighborhood for a short time. >> nothing shady at all. it was the opposite of that. >> the motive is under investigation. cheryl conner, abc 7 news. now, to a double murder suicide under investigation, this time in spotsylvania county. neighbors calling police after seeing the door of a home on waterford drive left wide-open and the dog grooming the neighborhood. when officers showed up, they found a mother, father, and their adult daughter all dead. a holiday weekend marked by violence. ec the chapters investigating four shootings. th

how things are looking out there. tom. skies can tell you, clear do not equal clear roads. unfortunately. look at what we are dealing with on 95 south. this is right near the dale city rest stop. it is moving, but man, it is moving slow. this part of the area, 90 five south, has really been the biggest trouble spot. there has been some other problems as well throughout the day, but this is definitely the worst. another issue to be aware of if you are headed to any of the local airports, check out this video we took us before the sun went down this afternoon. this is the bw parkway the reason it is so backed up is not necessarily things in travelers who are trying to drive to a location as in a city. they are plenty to to the airport, and the airport created its own traffic jam. it was a nightmare to get through. also, the traffic bled onto
