he had so much power, no one wanted to speak up. lauer claimed that some of what was said was untrue or mischaracterized. adrianna: new allegations coming from the world of music and business. deft jam cofounder russell simmons, stepping down from all of his companies after being accused of sexual assault. a guest column in "the hollywood reporter," jenni lou matt accused simmons of forcing her to have sex back in 2001. in a statement, simmons says he had a different recollection of the encounter, that he said, he had never been violent. regardingpments senate candidate roy moore. moore a speech wednesday, denied allegations he engaged in sexual misconduct with teenagers. moore told the church crowd that gays, lesbians, and socialists were spreading lies about him. >> they are liberals.

adrianna: a cyber attack cost anne arundel county public schools $57,000. according to "the capital gazette," thieves stole the money by redirecting the direct deposit pay of nearly three dozen employees. a spokesperson said it appears the employees fell victim to a phishing scam by clicking on an email scam. investigating -- seven is on your side with a heads up for drivers in virginia. wednesday is when those monitors will start forcing you to drive on i-66 inside the beltway. finding and e-zpass may be difficult to do. people have been showing up to stores and learning they have run out. alexandria store in is also stocked, but they are a hot item.

developing right now, american airlines is scrambling to find pilots to operate thousands of flights over the holiday season after a scheduling glitch of about 15,000 flights without a captain. onanne kennedy has details what happened and the search for a solution. suzanne: all of these air travelers are getting where they want to go, but that may not be the case in a couple of weeks. a computer failure allowed many of the carrier's pilots to take the day off. normally, time off is based on seniority. the airline says it is working with the pilots union to take care of both pilots and ensure it gets its customers to where they need to go.

adrianna: caught on cameraadrianna:, a mother using her kid to steal from a jewelry store in arkansas. with no store clerks inside, the woman directed her son to crawl behind a display case and pick out which pieces of jewelry she wanted. in all, they got away with more than $30,000 in jewelry. >> it was only a matter of minutes. it is really detrimental, especially this time of year. this is something that really hurts us. adrianna: if and when they are caught, police say the mother will be charged

into the delinquency of a minor. from a little thief to little law enforcement, that's an nypd patrol officer driving his smart vehicle on the sidewalk. this was no laughing matter. as you can see, the car just missed hitting a man walking with his small child. we do not know the nature of the emergency or if there was a call at all. officials are looking into the matter. and man in handcuffs breaks away from police in west virginia but runs straight into the brick window of a biscuit baker. you can see that suspect sprinting across the parking lot , hands cuffed behind his back, and then he is tackled by the employee of a biscuit bakery who happened to be in the right place at the right time. >> at first, i didn't think he was coming my way because i wouldn't, but you know, different structure, different folks. he was feeling brave. so was i. adrianna: he seems like a big teddy

adrianna: now to the latest in the russia investigation -- there is word that jared kushner met earlier this month with special counsel robert mueller's team. a source told the associated press that president trump's son-in-law was questioned about former national security advisor michael flynn. the source says the questioning took 90 minutes or less, and it was aimed at establishing whether kushner had any information on flynn that might be damaging. now, matt lauer says he is truly sorry to anyone he has heard by his words or actions. thissued this statement morning, and it is his first public comment since nbc fired him for inappropriate sexual behavior, and last night, to more employees came forward. one told "the new york times" that he summoned her to his office, locked the door, and assaulted her. just hours

adrianna: an update on the case of a norfolk, va mother charged with a felony for hiding an audio recorder in her daughter's backpack to prove she was being bullied. as of this morning, all charges have been dropped. the norfolk commonwealth attorney's office requested that the charges be dismissed after thoroughly reviewing the case. >> this feeling i have been having in my chest for weeks now, it was just alleviated. excited andery happy for my daughter and for myself.
