lisa: update on controversial acquittal. the justice department is considering federal charges against an undocumented immigrant found not guilty in the murder of kate steinly. a jury in san francisco convicted him on the lesser charge being a felon in possession of a gun. he admitted to shooting her but claims the gun accidently went off when he picked it up. >> if we believe the verdict is a correct and an accurate reflection of the law. >> this is about the family. they have shown incredible resolve in the process. our hearts go out to them. >> it could include illegal re-enter in the u.s. and violating supervised release. any additional charges would delay the deportation to mexico after he is sentenced on the gun charge. jonathan: 60 years
