construction workers targeted by criminals, a neighborhood on edge. >> we ain't leaving nobody behind. nancy: how he is helping students impacted in the district. abc 7 news at 11:00, on your side. face ande gun in my they took my wallet and phone. jonathan: construction workers targeted in broad daylight and robbed at gunpoint. nancy: it's happened at least four times in the past week. tim barber is live with the story and the search for the criminals tonight. puttingestigators are more posters on the streets to protect these construction workers, find the robbers, and keep a lookout for their getaway car.

tonight, giovanni lopez is back on the job after he was robbed at gunpoint. >> put the gun in my face. tim: three other contractors were also targeted this week. in the middle of the day. >> he took my wallet and phone. tim: investigators want you to be on the lookout for the robbers'black sedan. >> it was a shock. tim: she heard the robbers shoot at workers who try to chase after the criminals. >> it is sickening. >> we are newlyweds looking to have a family. what if they see me working by myself outside? what if they targeted me? investigators say if you have workers at your house, call your local district and they will send extra cruisers with officers to protect them.
