questions tonight about how the police responded after a teenager was reported missing. the teenager was found dead over the weekend. alison: many thought he had gone home after the police broke up a party. instead his body was found in a stream. tonight his father questioned if more could have been done. anna-lysa gayle joins us live with the story. anna-lysa? anna-lysa: alison and jonathan, navid's dad is heartbroken. tonight he found the courage somehow to speak to us. >> i just wanted them all over the woods looking anywhere. across rock with a pond. he was laying there, face-up. as you can imagine, i went crazy. i went down and pulled him

father said that he found his son's body himself sunday. he believes that the police missed several opportunities to find his son quicker, and he filed a missing persons report, the report coming hours after he had expressed concern to the police overnight at about 3:23 in the morning about his son not coming home. navid was caught on body camera at a home on elgin lane. officers say he may have been under the influence after attending a party in the neighborhood where possible underage drinking was reported. isthis point, no foul play expected, but his father wonders if more could have been done to save him. >> he has been missing since 3:00 that night that i reported it. anna-lysa:

the father is still waiting for the autopsy results to determine exactly how navid died. that could take up to two weeks. anna-lysa gayle, abc 7 news. jonathan: heartbreaking, thanks. comean is in custody accused of taking video inside of a school while a juvenile was partially undressed. the police say the woman then posted the video on snapchat. this happened december 1 in the bathroom of the building on independence avenue near the d.c. armory. she has been charged with voyeurism. alison: a manhunt for an number driver who attacked a woman in his car just blocks from the capitol. look at your screen. the police say that this man tried to sexually assault a woman early sunday morning. a spokesperson for over says they are -- a spokesperson for uber says they are helping the police with the investigation and remove the driver from the app. jonathan:

this is a church van pulling up, but these are not churchgoing guys getting out area this is a series of robberies that have been going on. the authorities are looking for these guys. d.c. police a they are responsible for several burglaries over the past two weeks. tom roussey joins us live from northwest washington with more on the search for these guys. tom? one of the many robberies they have done, they pulled up in that van on h street northwest, then walked this way, smash through the glass door, and stole more than $20,000 worth of clothing. what is really outraging some people tonight is where the van came from. early this morning a thief breaks a glass door and leap through. fromen steals 22 watches benson's jewelers in the heart of downtown at street, one of seven crimes that the police think that the guys committed this month. among others, a sprint store on benning

developing now, a hate crime on tape in northwest washington. the police say the victim was pepper sprayed at close range. nancy chen is at the live desk with more. in the video you can see the man going inside of the room and seemingly start spring somebody with what is being described as a self-defense spray. the victim fall to the ground on georgia avenue northwest yesterday afternoon at around 1:45. the police are investigating this as a hate crime but say that does not mean prosecutors will ultimately prosecuted as such. the victim was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and the police are asking for your help. if you have information, contact them right away. 11:00, theew at secret service speaking out against a report that it physically removed a person from the white house. the former "apprentice" star has

there were multiple reports she was dragged from the white house. the secret service tonight issued a statement on twitter saying that it was not involved in the termination process and did not escort her off the complex, as reported. you can hear from her tomorrow morning on "good morning america." claims almighty on 7, the mormon church -- only on 7, claims that the mormon church covered up sexual abuse, saying that church members new that a church member was harming children and did not reported. >> my family preached to me about forgiveness. that i needed to forgive him. some --ou forget forgive something like that? tim: this mother says that a fellow church member and babysitter sexually abused her 4 and 6-year-old boys

did testify. they believe that local church leaders discuss the allegations with jensen as early as 2007 and nobody reported them to law-enforcement. lawyers claim that church leaders in utah new that jensen was connected with sexually related crimes in 2004. the church said, "the church does not tolerate abuse of any kind. we take seriously our role as a recognized leader in ensuring child abuse prevention efforts are in place and followed them as happened in this case." in fact it was the church that encourage the parents to report the abuse and made their own report as a confirmation. tonight this mother wants justice. >> this is the only way i know how to do it. the only way for their voice to be heard and my voice to be heard, to force them to change their policies so this does not happen again. tim: tim barber, abc 7 news. a spokesperson for the church in utah told us they cannot c

jonathan: the governor of maryland is taking a jab at metro would not allow the archdiocese of washington to post an ad, saying metro has a shortfall and is surprised they would turn down any ad money. playe ad they wanted to said the perfect gift for christmas and had a picture of three wise men. if anybody needed three wise men come it is metro. put that on all to every single train car, as far as i'm concerned. jonathan: the archdiocese announced they will appeal a federal judge's decision to block the ads.

"help" while sitting on santa's lap. this video has gone viral. jonathan: this is not fun. the family is from maryland, but this is a 12-year-old picture and that is young sam throwing up the sign for "help." >> it was scary. he smelled ofred, smoke, and i was one years old. i had no idea how to interpret the situation, other than to ask for help. jonathan: if you sit on the lap of somebody stinking of cigarettes, you are not kidding. it was such a memorable moment that the family posts the picture on facebook every year, and this time a friend asked them to post it on twitter and it has been retweet it thousands of times. of the the eyes are part funny part, cutting over, somebody save me. jonathan:

what's happening outside. it was very cold this morning but we may be warming up? that is the sign. bill: it was a very cold morning. dulles was four degrees with the windchill factor. currently many of you are above freezing. frederick is below, 30 degrees. the windchill factor, it is below for everybody, the wind is not very strong. still a very cold night. this evening, we are talking about snow. heading outside, you probably had some snow coming down, especially if you're up to the north. picked up mainly in the northern counties, a half-inch, .4. the big picture for most of that energy is to the north. spinning around ohio, bringing widespread snow to the entire state of pennsylvania.
