a lot of concerns about what this actually does for americans could this actually happen? president trump says if it does americans will see more money in their pocket by february. now, the irs has not officially confirmed that but if this gop tax plan does go through it would mean the most sweeping changes to tax reform in this country in decades. >> if congress sends me a bill before christmas, the irs has just confirmed that americans will see lower taxes and bigger paychecks beginning in february. >> reporter: president trump touting his tax plan at the white house as congressional republicans announce they are not there yet but much closer to a deal. here's what the house and senate have agreed to so far. drop the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%. cap the mortgage interest deduction at $750,000, a middle ground between the senate and house versions. repeal the obamacare individual

>> reporter: so doctors believe she suffers from a disorder in which a caregiver makes up an illness to get medical treatment. her care is in foster care recovering in good condition. a new study raised concerns about hydraulic fracking. researchers studied more than 1 million births near fracking sites in pennsylvania and found babies born within a half mile of a fracking site were 25% more likely to suffer from low birth weight. >> animal shelter in san francisco is facing more criticism for using a robot to try to keep homeless people from camping nearby. the robot seen here is becoming a popular way for companies to save on security expenses. but in this case, the city says the shelter needs a permit for the robot to patrol the sidewalk and critics have resorted to vandalism. preparation for new year's eve just got started but already a problem. workers tested out the giant 18

in the day ahead-- a man accused of murdering an artist in her northeast home, is due in court for an arraignment hearing. prosecutors say el hadji toure broke into the house back in march, then sexually assaulted and murdered 34 year old corrina meheil. police say they arrested toure after he used her a-t-m card to withdraw money in maryland and virginia. he is now charged with first degree murder. right now-- police are looking for an uber driver accused of attacking a woman in his car, blocks from the capitol. take a look at your screen. police say "selvin cho-cooj" tried to sexually assault a woman early sunday morning. a spokesperson for uber says it's helping police with the investigation and it removed that driver from the app. turning to metro-- the transit agency is reviving a long-dormant proposal to build a second station in rosslyn for the blue line.
