they are about to get a holiday bonus. the phone company says it will give more than 200-thousand u-s workers a one-thousand dollar bonus. it was actually announced a week ago. the republican tax plan slashes the tax rate on corporations. a-t & t's c-e-o says the savings will create more good-paying jobs. in virginia-- a tightly contested delegate race ends in a tie! it looks like a name drawn out of a glass bowl will determine the winner of virginia's 94th district delegate race.

one vote victory. but republicans challenged it, and won. it's not clear when the candidates' names will be drawn. developing now.. an unexpected move -- the d.c. school board delaying a vote on a resolution calling for an independent investigation into city schools. seven on your side found at least 26 ballou high school students graduated with more than 100 unexcused absences. that finding led some school board members to call for an independent probe into data and accountability practices. board member laura wilson phelan requested that the vote be delayed. the office of the state superintendent of education is conducting its own investigation. that probe is

31 passengers from two royal caribbean ships were on-board. an update on the florida police officer dragged by a car for a half mile.. at speeds of more than 60 miles an hour. pembroke pines police officer jon cusack was released from the hospital, one day after tuesday's incident. he's expected to make a full recovery! on tuesday, officer cusack reached into a car to stop a suspected drugged driver from fleeing. the driver accelerated, dragging the officer. he was rushed to the hospital with serious road rash. the driver is now in jail, charged with attempted murder. the t-s-a is rolling out new automated screening lanes at 12 airports across the country.. including boston's logan airport. the bins are 25-percent larger, and are dispensed automatically. the t-s-a says the new lanes can improve efficiency

now he's suing the city. it was november when officers pulled up behind 21-year old christopher ballew at a gas station. they questioned him about a missing front license plate. then you see officers wrestle bellew to the ground, and try restraining him using batons. ballew says the footage shows he was beaten. the city, says he resisted arrest. ballew ended up with a broken leg. he was eventually arrested -- charged with assaulting a police officer with a arrested -- charged with assaulting a police officer with a deadly weapon. the officers involved are still on active duty during the investigation. right now -- the search is on for the gunmen who stormed an armored truck last friday in beltsville. take a look at the incredible video -- the cash couriers - restocking an a-t-m on baltimore avenue. the workers - forced to the ground. the thieves escaped with nearly a quarter-million dollars! the gunmen ditched their getaway car a

few blocks away from the crime scene and vanished. no one was hurt. fan recption for "star wars: the last jedi" may not be as positive as the studio would have liked. but that doesn't appear to be hurting it at the box office. variety reports "star wars: the last jedi" earned more than 536-million dollars in less than a week. the movie already ranks as the 164th highest grossing of all time. but the film itself has been a little divisive for fans. although it has a 92 percent "fresh" rating with critics on rotten tomatoes, it's audience score is only 54-percent. there is much more coming up on good morning washington.
