11:35 pm
>> dicky: from hollywood, it's the "jimmy kimmel live" red special! tonight, bono, president barack obama, kristen bell, bryan cranston, ashton kutcher, dj khaled, rita wilson, sean "diddy" combs, and more. and now, first and foremost, here's jimmy kimmel! [ cheers and applause ] >> jimmy: thank you very much. i'm jimmy, i'm the host. thank you for watching.
11:36 pm
thank you for joining us. this is a very special night. this is our third annual benefit show for red. world aids day is friday. once again we teamed up with bono. you know that guy from that band. [ cheers and applause ] to raise money and awareness for the fight against hiv aids. not only is bono here tonight, kristen bell, ashton kutcher, sean "diddy" combs is here. it is like the justice league. all we're missing is the guy who can talk to fish. so tonight we'll do our best to put an end to aids. how is that for a tv show? [ cheers ] as of this week, red has raised hundreds of millions of dollars to fight aids. that's a lot. you could buy all of oprah's favorite things with hundreds of millions of dollars. bank of america is the official payment provider of the red shopathon. they made a $20 million commitment to fight aids. and the bill and melinda gates foundation is matching every dollar we raise tonight.
11:37 pm
that's right. [ cheers and applause ] the gates foundation. that means that we've really give it our best, if we dig deep together, we can bankrupt the bill and melinda gates foundation tonight. also tonight, you can sign up to win a once in a lifetime experience with a real live superstar through the website. these are the things you can get. last year bono and julia roberts had tea with a winner. neil patrick harris and david took someone to a broadway show. they took him to nobu in malibu. that guy looks excited. youtube granted their winner a private concert for two people in vancouver, which is awesome. they're all on the website. charlize theron says she will kick your ass. i don't know what it means, but i'm in. you can

with jack black, cate blanchett, reese witherspoon. go to omaze.com/red. you will get more likes on instagram from the selfies than you probably ever had in your life before. it will be ridiculous. there's another way you can help, too. this is very easy. you can do all your holiday shopping with red. our red shop-a-thons have raised $97 million, which is almost 100 million, but not quite. so over the course of the next hour, you can get all your holiday shopping done. then tomorrow you can say i'm done with my holiday shopping and everyone you know will hate you. it will be wonderful. who is ready to shop impulsively? are you ready? go get your mother's credit card. let's do this. where is my sweater? [ cheers and applause ] well, this is the home shopping portion of our show.

[ cheers ] holy jesus, born on christmas day! [ laughter ] why, this is the perfect holiday gift. let's get started. because i'm itching like i've got syphilis here. this is an item i know you will love. this is, you probably have seen this. this is the beatz pill plus. >> the pill? oh, my gosh, i'm not swallowing that. no, way, jim. >> jimmy: it's not for your mouth. it's for your ears. >> that makes more sense. >> jimmy: it's a portable speaker. it's only $179.95. you can listen to whatever kind of music you like, rock, rap or my favorite, faith-based music. and part of every purchase goes to benefit red's fight against

what do you think? [ cheers and applause ] >> well, jimmy, that's awfully tempting, but no can do. you see, bryan cranston, he likes to fight aids the old-fashioned way. >> jimmy: how is that, bryan? >> well, by running it over, jimmy. >> jimmy: that's a great way to do it. isn't that a great way to do it? >> there we go. [ applause ] bye, everybody. >> jimmy: bye, bryan. will you look at him go? >> so talented. >> jimmy: he's so clean. >> he's even cleaner than ariana grande. >> jimmy: i don't know about that. i love that red vespa 946 scooter and matching vespa helmet. those are allar
