running down the alley. one shop owner told his kids to duck. anna-lysa: tonight i talked with one small business owner who said he had to hide his kids during the shooting over the weekend. he called it an assassination and it lasted about a minute. he tried to protect himself saturday just after 11 a.m. when he heard the sounds of gunshots. >> bullets were ricocheting everywhere. anna-lysa: the police later found a 22-year-old unconscious in a vehicle on martin luther king jr. avenue in southeast. he was pronounced dead tuesday. >> just opening fire. anna-lysa: the police are releasing the surveillance video in hopes of finding the person who killed him. a man runs through the alley, firing several rounds. >> it's really getting bad. anna-lysa:

this person caught on camera may also be connected to the case. >> there are usually a lot of kids walking through here. i thought that was really dangerous. anna-lysa: there have been seven assaults with a dangerous weapon 900 block of martin luther king jr. avenue in southeast, up from five at this time last year. nancy: d.c. police also releasing this video from saturday. a robber walking into a shop on 8th street northwest, putting the gun to the head of a person, terrifying moments as they opened the register at about 1 a.m. call the d.c. police of this person looks familiar. jonathan: the police want to know if you can track down this man and woman. this is all after a deadly stabbing on christmas. investigators say the man got into a fight with two

on an abc 7 exclusive or last night, the rest after a horse and buggy accident in st. mary's county. the man holding the reins of the carriage in mechanicsville is still clinging to life. there is still no word on potential charges for the man who the police say never stopped but came back later that night and was arrested. cell phone video shows the end of a christmas day chase on interstate 95. a south carolina man is facing several charges after the police say he started shooting at them when they all stopped. nobody was hurt. spotsylvaniaed in county, but it started as a carjacking in north carolina. at one point come in virginia state police cruiser was rammed and the speeds were over 120. nancy: accusing a former campaign manager of misdemeanor sexual assault.
