weather by downloading the stormwatch 7 weather app, free in the apple store and google play. back to the breaking news we are following in fairfax county, a horrible crash that shut down a busy intersection in herndon. tom roussey is live at the scene with what he has just learned from the police. tom: i just got this information moments ago. eight people taken to the hospital. apparently this was a police chase that led to this. one of the vehicles involved, a pickup truck which is damaged badly. minivan thato a was damaged even worse at this intersection of centreville road and frying pan road in herndon. this minivan was involved in the accident. from what i'm told come a total of eight people, one apparently taken by air to the hospital, the others taken by ground, including a police officer taken as well. there was

kind involved in this accident, involving the vehicles at this intersection. we don't have all the details, but that is what we know. centreville road and frying pan road completely shut down, a votto fairfax county police officers and a mobile command unit in the intersection. our chopper was over the scene when this happened. a number of people injured in this accident. we'll get more information from fairfax county police as the investigation goes on. the lastmation from few minutes was a total of seven people taken by ground, one flown under the hospital with serious injuries. of the seven people taken on the ground, one was a police officer. also, the suspect that apparently they were pursuing is among those in the hospital right now. that is the latest from the scene in fairfax county. tom roussey, abc 7 news. nancy:
