i didn't identify it as a gunshot. >> shooting the woman three times in the chest according to the police, the shooter took off in an s.u.v. and was first spotted by the virginia state trooper. the man fired shots at the trooper's cruiser hitting a windshield. then he sped past a stanford county sheriff patrol car and you can see shot at it, too, hitting the head rest. on the passenger side. he underup crashing. the police surround the s.u.v. the man is arrested and taken to fairfax hospital with serious injuries. they are still collecting evidence till the late afternoon. >> i was upset. they have only been here for two weeks. i felt bad. >> the police tried several times to stop the guy on i-95. but as soon as he saw an officer, he shot at
