the shooting death of a sheriff's deputy is in custody this morning. pierce county deputy daniel mccartney was shot sunday night while responding to a burglary. mccartney chased two suspects who'd taken off. a gun battle erupted. one suspect was killed. the other got away. fellow officers found mccartney wounded, and rushed him to a hospital but he did not survive. the surviving suspect was

arrested yesterday. he's expected in court today on a first-degree murder charge. deputy mccartney was a 34-year-old navy veteran. he leaves behind a widow and three sons. a woman in wisconsin is in custody.. after leading police on a wild chase. police pulled diana feld over for running a red light. officers believed she was impaired. when they returned to their car to run her name, she took off. police chased her into what turned out to be her driveway. they followed her as she ran into her garage. they used a taser, and arrested her on an o-w-i charge. neighbors were not surprised to hear the news. this is not feld's first brush with this is not feld's first brush with police. officers say this is actually her fifth drunk driving arrest. seven's on your side with health matters as the flu is hitting this country -- and hard. more than 40-thousand cases are reported throughout the u-s. california is one of the hardest hit. 27 people -- under the age of 65 -- have

that new year's eve shooting that left a colorado deputy -- dead. bodycam footage just released shows deputies mike doyle and jeff pelle trying to help each other after each of them was shot. we also hear the moments they were trying to figure out if fellow deputy zack parrish -- shot inside the gunman's apartment -- was okay -- later to learn he was not. zackari parrish was killed in that shooting, along with the suspect.
