cleveland zoned talks eight news. >> the heatws has been on the cleveland fire b department today. good evening, i'm bill sheil. >> i'm jennifer jordan. firefighters but the day battling several places across the city, two of them fatal. fox eights brittney harris with the lead story tonight.

house. i went to my front door and looked at what was happening. i saw some firefighters pull out some hoses and i said okay, it's time to get out of here ring out. >> eric gergotz is interest to get back insidec his house here on east 57th in cleveland. he c was told to evacuate after his neighbor's home caught fire. it happened tca sometime around noon on saturday. heoo says they haven't heard much but they do know that a woman passed away. >> it's real that over here. the street are blocked off and the fire keeps going. it won't stop. >> sue lefkowski lives across the street. she said she phrased to call 911 aboutit the fire after her son told her. >> i was coming down the street and i didn't notice anything. i camemimi upstairs and within five minutes my son's screaming call the fire department because the house across the street was ont fire, so i did. we condense down downstairs in the house was engulfed with flames. i

everybody knows lady. >> the fire department has notnt identified the victim, and they are not sure whether anyone else was inside the home. firefighters try to look around, but the situation became tuesday dangerous and at one point, part of the house collapsed. >> there is still some fire volume in the front structure and in the top part and we are going to be fighting that. but once we get that under control, we will deftly dual walk through and make sure we have everything under control. >> because of the fire remains under investigation. inn cleveland, brittney harris, fox 8 news. >> that was just one of several house fires in cleveland today. >> firefighters started the day trying to save a man trapped inside another burning home. this home on east 130 third street caught fire about 3:00 a.m., when firefighters arrived, they were able to contain the flames. once inside, they we found a man bedroom. paramedics rushed him to metro, injuries. the victim has now been identified as 28 -year-old tavon

trying to determine how the fire started.e crew say they do not appear to be any working smoke detectors in that home. >> across town, crews are searching for the cause of yet another house fire. this one on belgrader avenue and west park neighborhood. investigators say it appears a space heater may have started early morning blaze that left a 76 rolled woman in critical condition. paramedics say she suffered from smoke inhalation and the woman's doctor daughter was also rushed to the hospital. there's no word on her condition yet. fire officials say the fire appears to be an accident. >> will be right back with a look at weather and with a
