thanks for joining us on jenna caiazzo. there's plenty to get to. a violent 24 hours in rock hill. several shootings and at least one person dead. the violence started last night in three different locations. police say shots were fired into three homes sending three people to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. the shootings now happens between 8:00 and 11:00 -- 11:00 last night on arlington avenue will i sure he didn't person drives. the shooting in the middle of the street left one person dead in a second agger. carolyn is live in rock hill bringing us the latest from the scene. hi caroline. >> riddled with loopholes leaving one person dead and police try to figure out what happened. >> friends of the alleged that some breaking down in tears just

were shot in this car. one of them killed. the coroner's office has not yet confirmed the name of the victim but friends say he was just 18 years old. >> he was just a baby. he didn't deserve this. >> rock hill police said the shooting started here at subbot and keels avenue and ended up one mile north on cauthen street. a woman said she heard the gunshots around 1:00 friday afternoon. >> i thought i heard fireworks but i heard five more shots. >> the investigation continues as officers are still looking for that man who left on foot. >> police say they are trying to figure out what happened today. as for the victim the coroner's office said they will release

life in rock hill caroline -- fox 46 wjzy. jenna: police telling us this is the first in rock hill. they're looking for the man who ran away from where the shooting happened in at this point police aren't saying if all of the shootings are connected. meanwhile amanda cox standing by in the weather center bring us the forecast as we head into the weekend i had a poor mother. she's standing by with her accuweather forecasts. >> it looks like we will hang onto seasonable temperatures for a bit longer but temperatures will be rising as we make our next week. the weak front will come through but we don't expect a lot from that. what we will see is cloud cover for period of time later in the day on saturday. not a whole lot happening. a few clouds here but the council continued to break up. overnight. temperatures right now are in

out. fire officials as they rounded someone was burning debris near a warehouse. the warehouse had towels inside to the wind picked up and those pallets ignited. everything in the business is considered a total loss in the building is destroyed. where the workers inside at the time was able to make it out. the farmers market owner tells me it'll be difficult about that but he will. >> can't afford to buy insurance for these old warehouses. that's hindsight. >> more than seven agencies will remain closed. traffic is being redirected and taking a look around it seems like they're wrapping up in the

being handled by the gadston county police department. they told me 10 minutes ago that whatever it is they are searching for in this pond is connected to murder in mt. holly on sunday. i was the murder of jamari lewis. no one has been charged in that case the police believe whatever they are searching for in this pond may help their case. they're not letting us know what it is they are searching for however they tell me it is not a body and it's not a weapon and nothing dangerous in the water but right now that's all they are saying. they're a dozen homes around the pond in the area. certainly the curiosity of neighbors out here trying to figure out what's going on just like we are but they will have to make wait until monday to find out because the sun is going down and the search is wrapping up. monday is when it will pick back up. right now that's how we have but we will give you updates if we get any. reporting in each charlotte david sentendrey box 46 wjzy.

have new details regarding the officer involved shooting in raleigh. police say the man fleeing from police was drawing a gun which is why the officer fired at him. 24-year-old keeled jenkins was shot dead after being chased by officers. police originally trying to server drug warrants. jenkins was arrested early today. the officer who filed the fatal shot remains on administrative leave. one man is behind bars after a heroin trafficking ring is broken up. lincoln county sheriffs deputies have arrested eric daniel noland detectives caught him in the act when confronted police found a sizable amount of what is called black tar heroin. no one was placed in prison on a 57,000-dollar bond. lincoln county sheriff's deputies say they expect to make more arrests related to this trafficking ring.

you about. 17-year-old responsible for making threats against the union county high school has not been charged. justin cassidy was arrested last that after making threats against porter ridge high school. after speaking with investigators cassidy admitted to making the threat but insisted they were just a hoax. north carolina is a felony to make a violent threat on schools. two other teens are being investigated in this incident. seven years in jail, that's how long this man will spend behind bars after admitting he tried to get photos from a 15-year-old girl. 34-year-old ralph -- was sentenced in a hickory county courtroom. sheriff's detectives pose as young girl on line and arranged a meeting with hillis. hillis admitted he degette photos from one girl in august of last year. on monday north carolina d.o.t.

there's no financial question between the projects and events. >> when ncdot secretary heads to the lone star state next week he will be asking his counterparts to protect the d.o.t. so that something similar doesn't happen here. i asked him what he will be looking for as a red flag. >> it wouldn't be a decision that was lightly taken because it would clearly be something that would be disputed so it would have to relate to a loss of confidence about ultimately being able to operate the project to the tolling opposition on my 77 says the governor's move prodded by the bankruptcy calls for review of the i-77 contract is a step in the right direction. >> it gives us some hope. we keep asking to do the right thing and we help the governor

the trading and investment banking division. they plan to make the cut sometime next week and according to brass as part of a plan to trim its workforce to increase divisions -- efficiency. bank of america is my job cuts as well. the bank might be cutting jobs but america is driving when it comes to creating them. the new jobs report says the country created 242,000 jobs far more than what was expected. the unemployment rate did not change which also was surprising. that remains at 4.9%. one note of concern in today's report wages drop slightly from the month before. analysts say job growth is important because there is concern of wages remain low it could affect wall street. duke energy's facing even more finds over the coal ash league that 12 of its current and former plants across north carolina. regulators put the company on

storm system that came through last night and pulled off to the north and east. you can see a little bit of moisture that will filter in overnight. we will keep a few clouds around the next system is a frontal boundary that will come through late saturday. basically it will come through pretty much unnoticed and we do expect to see temperatures holding steady in the 50s. right now we are in the 40s and 50's 30s to the north and west around evening hours relatively quiet if you are headed out evening temperatures in the 40s and 50's. temperatures continue to drop off quickly for the overnight lows. 34 degrees. it's going to get on the cooler side patchy clouds with wins the light around three to 6 miles an hour. as we get into the day on saturday clouds in another picture most of the day fairly decent but as the cold front comes in notice the opportunity for a couple of showers.

a 20% chance and not everybody sees something. as we head into the second half of the weekend sunshine takes over which will give us a boost in temperatures for the second half that we can. highs in the 50s for your saturday. as we get into sunday with high pressure and control temperatures move to the 60-degree mark and headed into the middle 60s on monday. as another system back to the north and west. that frontal boundary will creep towards the area so we will stay dry for much of the week. this may not affect their area until we get into thursday friday saturday time period. it will take its time coming into the region but have the system look at the temperatures. they head back into the 70s starting tuesday. that will lessen the end of the week and much of the week should be relatively quiet. once we get past the 50s
