friends and including former baltimore raven steve lewis. >> i game a friend the first time, i was in awe when i speak about a man like steve mcnair. i found myself in awe and honor being here to speak where it started friday. >> police determined that mcnair was shot to sleep on the 4th of july with a woman that he was having an affair with. >> when they dropped the casket, it was tough. >> the girlfriend and mcnair dated for six months and vacationing. she was not mentioned in the funeral, it included is mother and wife and son and brothers and nieces and nephews. >> it was emotional for current former quarterback vince young.

>> mcnair's casket was escorted by nine police officers to mount olive mississippi for a private burial. >> he was 36-year-old and he leaves behind a wife and four sons. back here in maryland, police are investigating the discovery of an 8 3-year-old woman's body stuffed inside of a freezer. a loved one found her remains in anne arundel. the officials of the medical examiner's office are working to determine her cause of date and that is where mike hellgren is. >> reporter: her body is here and her grandson says calling police was the right thing to do but he wanted to withhold judgment until police completed their investigation. investigation found 8 3-year- old doris lee cook inside after freezer at the country club apartments where she lived with her two daughters. they believe she had been dead for several weeks.

the grandson called authorities when he found her. >> the person was no longer living and that was the right thing to do. >> reporter: the cause of death has not yet been determined. the state medical examiner has ms. cook's body. >> nobody knows what happened and we won't know until the autopsy. >> the grandson would not say why he believe that maybe family members put her body in the freezer. >> unfortunately time caught up to her and it will catch up to everybody at one point in time. she is in a better place. >> this investigation is ongoing and active. we are urging with any information to come forward. >> they were unable to describe the freezer, no one is charged in the case. the discovery has charged people living in the same building. >> i'm shocked. i'm really shocked. >> i just assumed she passed away. >> the family is trying to cope and pull together and just

figure everything out. police say family members led them to the body and there were know altercations. homicide detectives are involved in this investigation. >> i would describe it as unusual circumstance. >> everything is being explain to the officers and they are handling it. >> she was a great person. >> reporter: the medical examiner's office is working with police. if you know anything about this case, contact authorities. reporting live from the state medical examiner's office, mike hellgren, wjz, eyewitness news. thank you, mike. officials say it could be several weeks before the autopsy is complete. firefighters respond to a small stove fire at a home and discovered two bodies. they discovered and found a man and woman on the first floor. police believe the victims were kill by the person that lives in the house and took his own life and lived in dc.

>> the one that lived in dc committed the murders and fled to dc and committed suicide. police are not revealing how the victims were killed. a police chief in anne arundel today. he began to pursue a speeding car. a car collided with two others in caused one of the drivers to be pinned in. four were injured and transported to the hospital and the officer was not a mon those hurt. shopping steers have lawmakers in anne arundel taking action. gigi explains. >> reporter: inside anne arundel mall, there is the final destination for consumers but it is outside in the parking lot that one county councilman wants to watch. bill jones is writing a law

recuperated. at a conference in anne arundel, families and children have a support network. >> unfortunately after surgery they have mini pair ral la sis. >> the kids get to focus on playing. >> i am doing great. >> jessie did have a few follow- up appointments and the doctors are very pleased. the nasa technicians are inspecting space shuttle endeavor. so far there's no evidence of any damage so endeavor is scheduled to possibly take off

sometime tomorrow evening. we'll keep you posted on that. flying in the cargo hole can be stressful for pets so there is a new airline letting them fly first class. called pet airways that will offer flights beginning on tuesday, dogs and cats can ride in the main cabin and not down below but the owners are not allowed to get on board. it begins at 149 for fido. let's check in with bernadette woods. pretty nice weekend. a lot of fishing at the beaches. if you are out there, be careful. >> as far as the weather goes, a lot of people did get a chance to go to the beaches and the weather held off for most but there's a front coming. i want to show you the radar. most of the activity has been off to the north. it has fizzled out east of haggard town.

we could have an isolated shower before it does clear the state. let's take you back a few hours. the clouds started to thicken and a haze returning to the air. we hadn't seen that for sometime here in the area even though we are in july. here is a larger picture. the front extends back. that is why we still have the chance. it is not until it clears that we can get into the dryer air behind it. it is going to return on top of us already tomorrow. winds are out of the south ahead of the front and that is really pumped out the moisture. dew points in the upper 60s. it feels a little muggy which is more typical for july. temperature wise we are in the 70s, and 75 in baltimore and 76 in haggardtown and 78 at the ocean. overnight we could see fog.

we will start to clear tomorrow and staying below 87. tomorrow we went to 82 and tomorrow looking for a high of 86 degrees. now as the front does clear, the one difference tomorrow, sunshine starting to return and a dryer air filtering in, it will lower the humidity and the dew points. on monday, a low pass to the right of us. it may bring us a popup shower but a very small chance. for most of us a pretty comfortable air mass coming the next few days. this is the forecast, tonight in the 60s and fog and that's how we will start out tomorrow. the front will leave us and sunshine and 86 degrees for our high. on monday, mixture of sunshine and tuesday 84 degrees. as we head towards the end of the week the temperatures will build again and a new front to move our way.

pretty close call out of colorado. a baseball fan was so focused watching game, he didn't notice a bear in the house. a man was in the kitchen with when a bear came in and helped itself to a bowl of fruit. neighbors saw it and snapped the picture and the dog noticed it and chased the bear up a tree. no one was hurt but just surprised. splish splash, there is a new kind of carwash, elephants are raising money for the facility by doing work and washing cars. the gentle giants are scrubbing
