baltimore community foundation and if you haven't been outside, we're having another warm and humid afternoon. look outside right now, you can see all of the clouds over the area at the moment and eyewitness news is live with first warning weather coverage. marty bass is tracking the tropics and meteorologist tim williams in the first-warning weather center. good afternoon. we're talking about some moist conditions out there. humidity is what you feel when you go out. not as warm today as it has been over the last few days, clear conditions around most of the state but we had some rain move through, most of it moving past northeast maryland and that's going to play into a forecast later today. flood watch today for the afternoon we had some rain move through. about 1/4" fell at the airport around the 2:00 hour and that started to clear out but we're seeing in the cloud cover out

and about. we're keeping an eye on it for more on what is heating up, going to marty bass. thank you. good afternoon, so what is heating up in the tropics? to be honest, not a lot. that's a good thing, looking at tropical depression number two and waiting for it to become a named storm which would be anna. but we're getting indications that that dynamic is not taking place. the cone of protection is moving up towards the bahamas. the computer models don't have strengthening beyond anywhere a tropical depression. this is not named. we'll watch this closely. it is still 7-8 days a way from the united states. one thing to point out, there's a cluster of clouds over here.

this because of rains forming along the coastline. dealing with this throughout the afternoon. anything that forms has the potential for some strong thunderstorms through the afternoon. we have about 1/4" of rain around the 2:00 hour at the airport yesterday. most of the rain now is kind of sitting out to the northeast and sitting. for the most part, not much in the way of rain area-wide but the potential for showers developing. the forecast is looking pretty much pretty solid, and going to be warm and moist and humid and looking at the current temperatures, bringing them up for you right now, we're looking at temperatures around let's see about 80 degrees area- wide. 85 on the shore. we have 82 in hagerstown. 75 in cumberland and 72 in

oakland. 77 on kent island. and 82 down in the nation's capital at 78. winds from the northeast bringing a bit of moisture off of the ocean. the component is filtering some moisture off of the ocean and the bay. it's adding to the humidity feel and the dew points are high. what we're going to see, the shape of showers and to the west, we had the showers moving through the airport area around central maryland and now that what we're going to watch until the front drape along the coastline gets out of here and we're going the see a chance of showers every day for the next few days. the watching and warnings will be in effect for the afternoon. we'll deal with a flash flood watch in effect. interesting weather day. wjz is always on, here's some of the stories on our web site at this hour.
