still not an impressive storm on radar or satellite, looks like a wild mass of thunderstorms holding on to the tropical storm status with sustained winds of 30 miles per hour. it has gusts of 52 miles per hour. as you see, it never changes to category one status. it stays offshore about 150- miles, we'll see the effects. danny kicking moisture back in our direction. it's only one part of a rainmaker playing into the forecast for tomorrow. for more, to marty bass. good afternoon, the projected rainfall totals tomorrow through tomorrow night for central maryland and the mid-atlantic. looks like none. the bulk of moisture is going to be north of the mason dixon line and into the valley

are open. there's a higher tide so they said they will pull their chairs back a little further tonight if we do get hit with heavy rains and larger than average rain, they'll send units out to patrol the beach, they're saying the beaches are open at this point and want everyone on the beach to be prepared and i just met with rick, he's the mayor of ocean city and their main concern people going out into the water and any time there's a change in weather, you have rip currents and it's very important to pay attention, watch for all of the signs and watch those life guards. do not step into the water if the life guards are not out there. even if you're only up to your needs, the water can be very dangerous. he's urging everyone who has beach plans, you can still come down here and that said, again, the weather can change, all officials are keeping in constant contact with each other so they can act quickly

people out of their homes in california. you could see the flames engulfing houses in several wildfire forced people out of southern part of the state. helicopters dropped water in hopes of slowing down, but crews say there's been áno of the blazes. a fight outside a pennsylvania caught on tape. and it involves the father of a accused of faking her own abduction. william siner attacked several tv own abduction. his daughter entered a guilty plea. 38-year old bonnie sweeten will spend nine to 23-months in prison, convicted of calling 9-1-1 to say she had been abducted by two black men. prosecutors say then used some stolen money to disney world.

we have a lot of weather the talk about. >> we do and since our check early in the program, we have a severe thunderstorm warning in effect. this line of storms really from bel-air all the way down into disease kicked up and we started seeing it develop around the noon hour and now seeing more and more of them. most of the state not seeing much, did see some north of ocean city and it's a direct line. this is training, think of the train of the cars, these are some of the reasons why the storms yesterday dumped so much over several areas and other areas got hardly none. one after another. much of the state not seeing much. as a result of these storm, we have some watches and warnings in effect. flash-flood warning watch at 2:00 2:00 until late into the

night over towards the panhandle of west virginia. we're dealing with that. we're seeing the temperatures coming up from about 70 degrees, topping out only about 80. the dew point very high, 69 degrees. humidity with an east win at 9 miles per hour and barometer holding. temperatures ranging from 69 in oak land to 79 in ocean city where it will be touch and go. high surf because of danny moving across the region, but the temperatures holding tonight. the average is just around 83. here's danny, give you an idea. it takes it past the coastline. what it means, although it will not make land fall, it will create waves and sustained winds at 40 miles per hour and
