>> guys, it's been great. >> it has been. >> absolutely. >> it really has been. despite all the craziness, it's been great. >> absolutely. >> for us, getting to know everybody has just been a terrific thing. being the outsiders and making it to the end and really bonding with all the neighbors have been terrific. we feel we've won the game in terms of relationships, with the family and the neighborhood. so we're really happy. we're excited to be living in this neighborhood more than ever. are i told noah that if we win, we're going to -- >> don't have to do -- be diamond. >> it could be cubic sir conian. >> i don't know if we're going to win the money. but it's been a great time. we've learned that families are
11:04 pm
important. neighbors are important. and your community is important. if you've got nice solid people living around you, you've got a pretty nice life. >> welcome back, everybody. it's gooded to see you all again. and this time your probably not as nervous as you were before when you were sitting in these seats. jackson what was it like seeing all the families?
11:05 pm
>> i don't know. i missed them. >> you miss them? >> jack, how about you, you guys have been gone the longest? it's good to see everyone again. >> thanks for reminding me of that. but it was a good time. i kind of misseded them wondering how things were going. >> has anything changed from what it was before until now? >> originally, you have time outside the wall to think. you felt like you got support from anyone, then we come to realize we were playing a game and it will be ok. you know, it will be ok. >> laura, you see you were missing them? was it good to see them. >> it was a little unfortunate to see them quite as soon as we did, but it was good to see them again. >> are you closer to the neighborhood than you were before? >> go ahead. >> i never talked to any of our neighbors. and now i do. >> so nelly, coming back seeing all these families again, you
11:06 pm
know, how are you feeling? >> it was cool to see all -- everybody. the way the game was played it was tough. do you think the hurt will ever go away. >> for me, i got caught up in the wrong part of the game. you give me another chance to play, and i'd play it a different way. the coolest thing is is there was the alleged core of five familys that hung out a lot. and this game gained three more families. and the bousier family and southey family that's one of the higher points to look at. there's still healing that has to go on, but this is a good neighborhood, man. everybody's going to will b all right. >> i can only speak for our family, but i'm sure every family has grown in some degree in this game. i know i've had success just personally from my family. one thing that i got from this
11:07 pm
family, is lexy's my girl. but she is 18. and she's being a young lady now. so i know i have to look at her just slightly different because she's -- >> that's good. sometimes when he yells at me when the walls are down, i'm going to remember what he said. i'm going to say, remember the wall? >> i believe that too. >> so i'll remember that. >> chris mullennix. good experience for nelly? good experience from the upshaws? how about you guys? >> as a family, i think we grew definitely together. >> the boys didn't know rene very well. we had some issues going into the game that had nothing to do. but forced us to hit them head on. and i think that we've overcome that there's been some definite respect built. and i think it will continue. >> tom, let me ask you, good experience from this? bad? >> definitely good experience for the bousiers we did good as a family. we got to know everyone a lot
11:08 pm
better. do you think you'll be stopping by and hanging with the nelsons, upshaws. >> if the welcome mat is still out there for us, we would will be thrilled. there's nothing we have ill-feelings about anyone. some things were said, but we'll all come out better for it. >> the only thing i can make an anolji, guys you go through boot camp with. you'll probably remember them forever. that's kind of how i feel this experience was. >> let's talk about the two final family, the schindlers and the johnstons. >> were you guys close before? >> we were not close to the shintlers. we're closer to the johnstons. i'm really happy for both
11:09 pm
families. >> chris, you had some positives, you had some negatives in the game? >> do you think the johnstons deserve to win the $250,000. i think that every family that play sd equally worthy of the $250,000. i'm not saying that the schindlers aren't worthy. but it's a very hard question to answer. >> chris upshaw, was it a tough decision for you? actually, it was tough. they weren't as big a threat as every single family you see out here. how i'm basing my decision is who i thought did more. whoever did more to me is who i'm going to base my decision on. >> there's a lot of opinions. lot of emotions. but let's call our two final families in the neighbor. the shippedlers family and the
11:10 pm
johnston -- schindlers family and the johnston family. schindler family, johnston family, come on out. [applause] >> schindler family, johnston family, welcome. your fate lies in the hands of your neighbors.
11:11 pm
11:12 pm
11:13 pm
11:14 pm
11:15 pm
>> all right. here's how it's going to work. this is a neighborhood election. every single person will cast their ballot for the family that they want to support. and i need every person from little jake bousier, like jack nelson, to grandma bousier, every single person will cast their ballot in their booth. here's how it's going to work. you're going to mark an x next to the family that you want to
11:16 pm
win $250,000. i will call you up individually, one by one. >> so first person to cast your ballot. chris nelson, go ahead. >> schiners, they played a great game. + obviously, two wonderful parents to have three children as they have. but cam johnsonton, that household over there is a special place. >> i'm not really sure how to go with it. neither up with of them really put my in danger. i never head butt with them. i have thoughts of maybe who
11:17 pm
won the last challenge. but then i have thoughts of do i know them better. it's tough. it's a real tough decision. >> i think every family is worthy of that amount of money. you have thoughts that the schindler family have more kids and they have to go to college. there's pros and cons and you just have to come up with a decision. >> i really don't like the fact that we have to vote. both families are awesome families. the johnstons i've known longer. very giving family. the schindlers i've known for six months, but over the course
11:18 pm
of six weeks, i've really gotten to know them. great family. so it's a difficult decision to make. >> chris, upshaw, you're the last voter. once you place your ballot in the box, bring the box to me, please. go ahead. >> good luck. >> thank you for a great game. >> good luck. >> i want to miss you if you go. >> we will miss you too, if we go. >> thank you, it was fun being the final two. and those last few days together meant a lot.
11:19 pm
they really did. >> johnston family, is there anything you want to say to the neighborhood? >> y'all did great. it's been beyond my wildest dreams, this whole thing. i wish all of you could have stayed until the end. i wish we all could have. but unfortunately, that didn't happen. but i can't wait to reminisce about this thing. it's been a great experience and -- [applause] >> schindler, family, is there anything you want to say to the neighborhood? >> we started with all this with very little relationships with most of the families here. it's silly and a little sad that it took some walls to come up to actually bond with the neighbors. there's a lot of talk of the outsiders and the core and we truly, truly feel like part of
11:20 pm
the core now. and i don't think it's just talk. i think it's really true. and whatever happens here it has been such a great experience for all of us. it really has. [applause] >> all right. let's do it. let's see who won the neighborhood election.
11:21 pm
>> the winner of "there goes the neighborhood" by a vote of 21-3, and the family that's $250,000 richer is -- the johnston family. [applause] >> congratulations, you guys, you're $250,000 richer. and you win there goes the neighborhood. >> we just won! this is ridiculous. we just won $250,000. >> all the financial worries that we had, we don't have to sweat anything for a while, you know? it's a load off the shoulders. >> love you guys. why can't we all win? we are winners. we are winners. >> this is a great neighborhood. you come together as a community, as a small part of a larger community, you've got your little core here.
11:22 pm
lot of great friends in this neighborhood. you give to each other and you get back from everybody. that's how it is here. that makes this the best neighborhood. everything we do is to make life a little easier that day or that night, takes the stress off of somebody. if you're having a bad time, you come here, you have a better time. and you know, it's -- it's -- this is the place to be. [applause]
