captioning provided by espn, inc. coming up on "nfl live" -- monday night magic. the dolphins ran wild, but the colts had peyton and that's all they really needed. meanwhile, plaxico burress taken into custody and into prison. what's next for this former super bowl hero? plus, the patriots are one fumble away from really being 0-2. is this thefl% fall of the emp? "nfl live" discusses right now. well, hi, everybody. welcome into this edition of "nfl live." so glad you are here with us. trey wingo, trent dilfer and some call him tim, tim hasselbeck is also here with us.
4:02 pm
good day to have two quarterbacks on the show. sunday night, little brother eli goes out and puts down a straight flush in the giants' win over the cowboys. peyton trumps him and puts out a royal flush on "monday night football" in miami, doing something the league has never seen before. peyton going for his 119th career win to top johnny unitas. this is a good start. throw it over 80 yards, trent. >> what a start to your round, it's like golf. >> it's so funny you should say that, because tiger woods was there. that made him very happy. if that was a 7 iron, tim, the colts couldn't handle the driver who was ronnie brown. >> no, they really had no answer. >> brown in a direct snap. patrick cobb reverses down the
4:03 pm
field. that wildcat gave him problems all night long. now, it's fourth quarter. this is part of an enormous drive. 13 plays, 8 minutes, they gave it back. donald brown, trent, is going to show dividends. the rookie out of utah. >> power pickup. power runner. that energy throws through it. >> and ted ginn who had double touches. later on, dan carpenter trying to show a fade over the water. back in, trouble, get it away from it. dolphins lead it 23-20. but, again, you have peyton manning and he has dallas clark. dallas clark right there coming up with the reception. and then pierre garsone, the first touchdown of his career. 48 yards. 27-23, great blocking on the play.
4:04 pm
>> absolutely. look at the young receiver. austin collie, get out on the perimeter. kick it out. it relieves the offensive lineman. and then pierre puts on the jets and gets it home. >> later, check please. i'll take seven. all right. now, the miami dolphins have a lot of time to move down the field, boy, tim, they couldn't get anything. >> he's got to know, get that snap off before the two-minute warning. >> nothing was going right. now, they're trying to get something done. the ball comes loose. sack, that got them out of their rhythm. 59, 58 seconds left. they've got to hurry. second and ten. this has potential. ted ginn had a lot of catches but not the one he needed. >> no, you are expected to make this play. this is not a special play. this is the expectation for your number one receiver. >> so it came down to this. last chance for the dolphins. got to throw it in the end zone, the one time the colts needed
4:05 pm
it, antoine buffet makes the play. the colts unbelievably win, 27-23. >> it's really disheartening. i'd like to ask you guys how many times you have seen games like that where you keep the ball 39 minutes. and you are 13-18, whatever it is on third down. it's exactly the formula to beat that team. >> when you play against a team like the colts, when you get into the red zone, you've got to score touchdowns. you can't kick field goals. so, i'm at a loss for words. i really am. i don't know what to say. >> here's why i said peyton and the colts did something that has never happened before. time and possession, 1997, we don't have any records before that. the colts had the ball for less than 15 minutes. 14:53 to be exact. as long as we've been keeping that statistic, that's the
4:06 pm
lowest time of possession ever. and peyton passes johnny unitas'-all time winnings. listen, transcript, a lot of tour players say it about tiger woods. he's not overrated, he's underrated. and since tiger woods was in attendance monday night. you can make the same statement for peyton manning. people just don't understand how valuable he is. >> if mvp truly meant the most valuable football player on your team, arguably, you could give the award to peyton manning every single year. the chemistry that he has with his receivers and dallas clark. look how quickly he's ready to deliver the ball to the empty space in the defense, and dallas clark knows exactly where it's going to be. this is what i love. weak side overload pressure by the dolphins. this is a sight adjustment.
4:07 pm
reggie wayne's never going to look for this ball until the last second. peyton knows exactly where that ball's going to be. and reggie is going to turn around and look for it. this is not easy, ladies and gentlemen. this takes years of practice. these two trust each other so much, it's remarkable how they do this week in and week out. >> and they had two chances. and monday night was dubbed the birthday of the wildcat offense. and it was quite a birthday party. listen, once again unbelievable success between ronnie brown, ricky williams and patrick cobb. miami ran 12 plays. averaging 9 yards a play. they chewed up yards. tim, one definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. that was kind of a defensive strategy that the colts employed against them monday? >> absolutely. i don't love the wildcat, but
4:08 pm
what you saw was an offense that is very defensive. eight men in the box, but you have nine when you're snapping the ball to ronnie brown. that's why the defender is the free safety. again, not repeating the play. the same thing, that same power play. ronny brown, the fourth player from the secondary is the free safety. then you get a wrinkle off by the miami dolphins with patrick cobb coming around the other way. and the defense for the colts. not ready for it. again, playing that same front. the offensive linemen do a good job getting downfield sand getting on their block. the indianapolis colts, they do not set their defense up to have any kind of success. i mean i hate when i hear players say we were outcoached in this football game. the truth is, they were outcoached in this football game. they did nothing on defense to stop that wildcat based on the front that they were playing throughout the entire game. you run those plays, you can see
4:09 pm
that front ten times and no adjustments were made throughout the game. they were just having the ball run right down their throat. >> perhaps, miami should have known when this game was played they were going to play. week two in the nfl, the dolphins, the first team to rush for 200 yards or another. from 2003 to 2008, that only happened three times. happened three times in week two. speaking of threes, ladies and gentlemen, why are the nfl teams looking for number one, miami lost monday despite holding the ball for more than 45 minutes. and the jags have yet to score a touchdown in the first half of their first two games. but hey, they still got the gators sand tim tebow. still to come on "nfl live," plaxico burress begins his sentence today after an emotional good-bye. and dot niners actually need
4:10 pm
4:11 pm
4:12 pm
state supreme court former giants wideout plaxico burress sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of a weapons charge. burress accidently shot himself in the leg with an unlicensed handgun arrived at rikers 1:00 in the afternoon. >> i want to make a couple of observations. i think what just happened in the courtroom with mr. burress being sentenced and remanded is terribly sad. and very tragic. what i said on the record i will repeat. you can violate the law, be subject to severe punishment, and not be a criminal. mr. burress used bad judgment. he violated a law that has no flexibility whatsoever. and one of the issues i have with the mandatory criminal statutes that have mandatory sentencing is that not even the court has discretion, even in a case where there are mitigating circumstances to impose a less
4:13 pm
severe penalty. >> so burress now already behind bars. espn legal analyst roggic cossack on what plaxico burress can expect this life to be like in prison. >> it's never easy to serve time in prison, but it may turn out that plaxico burress' time in prison is going to be tougher for him than it is for most prisoners. because he's such a high-celebrity individual and because the guys in prison are going to know who he is, to protect him is going to be the number one responsibility of the new york prison system. and to do that, they may have to put him in places away from general population. and sometimes, that means that he may be serving prison time in a cell all by himself. prison time is tough enough, but when you have to do it some of the time, all alone, it gets even tougher. plaxico burress is not going to have an easy two years. >> roger, thank you. so plax will serve two years in
4:14 pm
prison, but time off for good behavior he could serve just 20 months. and be could be released as early as the spring of 2011. plaxico will be reinstated by the nfl by 2011. and michael crabtree now in the middle of a dispute with the 49ers who drafted him and the jets. san francisco contending that the jets had tampered with heir negotiations to sign crabtree, and have filed formal charges against the jets with the nfl. so what is happening now in this case. let's bring in the professor, espn.com senior writer john clayton. the giants with the lance briggs situation with chicago, what more can you tell us about their charges with the jets? >> well, this is more like a message to michael to tell him if you're waiting for another team next year, it's not going to work. the jets, certainly, it's hard to prove that they tampered or didn't tamper.
4:15 pm
but also, too, what's going to be hard is michael crabtree trying to believe that this is a message that he's going to at least look into. the jets are 2-0, and the position in the draft is 21st which is lower than 10th and does it make any impact? no. conversations are still nothing. there's no conversations that's going to lead to any kind of a deal. still in the end, though, i do think michael will try to sign the next two weeks. he's just not moving anything today. >> crabtree remains onned sidelines. but the san francisco 49ers off to 2-0 thanks to the feet of frank gore who so far have scored all four of the 49ers' touchdowns and has accounted for 47% of the yardage over the seattle seahawks. tough news in dallas, cowboys without marion barber because of his quad injury.
4:16 pm
barber, one of the toughest runners in the game suffered an injury in the 35-yard run in the fourth quarter sunday night on the of loss to the giants. still ahead, the world champs have been bumped from the top spot from the nfl power ranks. find out who is the new king of the hill. and fantasy owners, if you're looking for a free agent to add to the (commentator 1) here's tiger woods, doing what he does best, setting up, preparing (commentator 2) he does it better than anyone else makes all the difference jim wait, i think he's ready once again, excellent choice we've come to expect nothing less he can see us (announcer) prepare you skin with gillette's new line of hydrating body wash. it has 3 times more hydrators that lock in moisture and help eliminate dry skin is that gonna be cash or credit? check we only take little checks.

what does greatness taste like? steps up. heaves the ball. step up and order a miller lite aluminum pint. with a wide opening to deliver that true pilsner taste. down into the endzone. it's gonna be a tip ball. he's got it! unbelievable... and it's gonna be a touchdown! this is unbelievable! there's light beer. and then there's triple hops brewed miller lite. taste greatness.
4:19 pm
matthew berry here from espn.com, fantasy, with free agency that you can pick up for week three with a few quarterbacks bank up, you might be looking for one. how about byron leftwich? don't watch him play, okay? it's going to be ugly. with a buck defense continuing to struggle, leftwich will continue to throw. baby wade was unemployed and then signed with kansas city. and was on the field sunday. he knows the system and it shows. nine targets, he caught six of that emfor 72 yards. k.c. is also going to throw and wade is in a nice spot. and the giants, domenic hixson and hakeem nicks are banged up.
4:20 pm
the giants, steve smith, have about three fourths of espn's standard league. in the fantasy section of espn.com. >> matthew, thank you. college football action thursday night as snead take on south carolina presented by kingston charcoal on espn thursday. that was a lot to say. all right, listen. this is not exactly the start that the patriots were looking for. week one, they had to score 12 points in the final 2:06 to eke out a winner over buffalo, 25-24. and then for the first time, week two, 37 games, they went without scoring a touchdown, as they lost 16-9 to the new york jets. tom brady threw the ball 47 times against the jets. and new england is the only team that has dropped back to pass more than 100 times through the first two weeks of the season. even though they never trailed
4:21 pm
by more than one score against the jets, tom brady only handed the ball off 19 times on sunday. new england patriots came with tom brady's return that a lot of people should challenge for afc supremacy. we should preface, still might. a lee yot this calvin fumble from being 0-2. tim, you looked at the tape, studied the tape, what concerns you the most? >> the biggest concern is chemistry on the offensive side of the ball. and at the wide receiver position between tom brady and joey gallowagalloway. in this offense, you need to be able to spread the ball around. you need to trust your wide receivers. i don't see that level of trust between brady and galloway right now. >> another important part of chemistry, as you know, tim, is play calling. the play calling between o'brien and tom brady. this play calling is very
4:22 pm
suspect. they've had success early in the games. they get away from that but i don't care necessarily from the rushing numbers because another way the patriots run the ball, so to speak, is with the bubble and this is nonexistent. when they do, it gets blown up like this. you have no idea how much this team is missing josh mcdaniels. he's doing a great job of mixing up the rhythm. sneaking in the bubbles and the runs for the cheap yardage. >> to be fair, that would have been wes welker there. it might have made a difference. we thought that was on the defensive side with so many starters gone. for the patriots, next two weeks, they're home games. that's the good news. but they're facing the falcons, followed by the 2-0 ravens, the most physical team in all of football. then to denver to face josh
4:23 pm
mcdaniels and then tampa bay in london followed by what would be a much needed bye week. michael turner, and jerious norwood and matt ryan. what do you see coming up in week three? >> i think it's how they match up against the patriots offense. to understand the falcons, they are one of the teams that brings the least amount of pressures in the nfl. they rely upon a four-man rush and a lot of cover schemes to stop the passing game. typically, this is what the new england patriots feast on. it will be very interesting if the atlanta falcons, tim, can continue to play the style of defense to stop the patriots when the jets have so much success pressuring tom brady. >> especially when you look at that front for the atlanta falcons. they're doing a good job of winning the individual battles. the patriots are not doing a
4:24 pm
good job of individual battles. i'm going to take it 0 the offensive side of the ball say that matt ryan's chemistry, with tony gonzalez, he's done a good job of getting tony gonzalez in the red zone, but also getting gonzalez the ball when these covered. and throw it away from the defender. gonzalez does a nice job of using his body to shield the defender. and when you have a banged-up linebacking corp, the matchup problems even worse for the new england patriots defense. >> this is all sounds very bad for new england. as we said, at the top, if anybody can fix it, the patriots and bill belichick. they've been one of two teams who have been 0-2 and, oh, by the way, hoisted the lombardi trophy. trophy. speaking of welcome to race day on the now network. right now, 7,100 people are listening to live race audio

say, child, i'm better than you, leading them on an 80-yard drive to give them the win on "monday night football" in miami. you guys ready for "quick hits." despite a slow start, matthew stafford is still the starting quarterback which actually can be considered bad news for stafford. if you're not a redskins fan, you're pulling for the lions. pull your the lions every week. meanwhile, two jeff reed missed field goals, a big part of the reason the steelers fell to the bears sunday. they're now 1-1. head coach mike tomlin, he's not about to -- >> i think, truly, september football teams are in a big favor of growth and development. along the way, you got to find ways to win. i think you develop personalities and roles, divisions of labor. but the bottom line is the bottom line. everyone's going through those
4:29 pm
similar issues, and you play and you play to win. and that's our job. and along the line, we answer some of those other questions or concerns. that's what we intend to do. we better get back to the business of winning along the way. >> i'm in. espn.com power rankings. the ravens now number one. the giants, number two. colts, three. falcons, four, the vikings, five. >> i don't know what power rankings are. >> all right. >> if we called the show "nfl greatness" i couldn't be on it. >> where does your team rank? logon now for the full list. trent doesn't like the power rankings. give me yours. which team, ravens or falcons? >> i think the falcons are good. >> falcons. i like the quarterback situation. >>

[captioning made possible by espn, inc.] >> welcome to "jim rome is burning." i have a great tuesday show for you. an all-star point guard for the new orleans hornets, chris paul, will join me. first, here is what i am burning on. >> pennington throwing towards the end zone and it is intercepted. the colts win a game that they don't even have the ball for 15 minutes. >> i would never have believed a team that holds the ball for 15 minutes and gives up 200 rushing yards can win a game in the nfl. i also realize anything is possible when peyton manning is on the field. manning torched the dolphins for 303 yards and two scores monday night leading his team to a win despite only 35 plays to work with. basically told us the colts who are 2-0 will be fine now that
4:31 pm
tony did you think seretired. that is the scary thing about manning. he doesn't have marvin harrison and doesn't have anthony gonzales but still keeps leading the colts to victories, even when had the numbers really don't add up. >> pennington looking deep. he throws downfield for ted ginn who couldn't make the play. the rookie free agent was in coverage. ginn got two hands on the ball and couldn't make a big play. >> you know what caught my eye, the dolphins mediocre passing attack. anthony fasano dropped a touchdown pass in the first half and ted ginn dropped what could have been the game-winner. they also mangled the two-minute drill. they explain why the dolphins are 0-2. they have a great run game and
4:32 pm
have fun with the wildcat but they can't scare anybody with their passing game. if they can't do that i can't see them going back to the playoffs any time soon. >> it is not accurate or true. you know, hey, we will let the league figure it out. i think i said all i will say about it. it's not true. >> i have no idea if the jets are guilty of tampering with the san francisco jets first round pick michael crabtree but i do like how rex ryan responded. he didn't just deny the charges, he wished the 49ers are on the jets schedule this week. at this stage i am convinced ryan will say anything at any time. remember he also talked smack about the new england patriots last week and led his team to a victory on sunday. i can see why the jets started 2-0 this season. they have a coach that isn't
4:33 pm
scared to say what he feels and back it up. it is nice to know ryan is willing to do his own thing. speaking of crabtree, it is time for him to sign a contract. i know he is not getting the offer he wants in san francisco but $16 million in guaranteed cash is pretty good for a rookie who might not play a down this season. here is the reality with crabtree. he is getting bad advice and hurting his reputation in the process. he was hurt coming into the draft and faced rumors that the teams saw him as the nfl's next diva and now he is the only rookie without a contract. at some point you have to know when to give up in a league where rookie receivers usually struggle. >> 40, 35, 30, 20, 15, 10, 5, to the end zone, touchdown, denver.
4:34 pm
45-yard for corelbuckhalter. >> i will not get too crazy about the broncos right now but i have to give credit to their head coach josh mcdaniel. they looked like a last place team in the off-season. mcdaniels traded jay cutler. he had a huge headache in brandon marshall and also was trying to rebuild one of the worst defenses in the league. mcdaniels has kept this team focused despite all of those issues. sure he got a miracle win against since nat and he beat the horrible browns last week. undefeated is still undefeated. i thought the broncos might win two games all season. they have already shown me their coach can do much better than that. up next hornets all-star point guard chris paul will join me. don't go anywhere.
4:37 pm
4:38 pm
we will get to the book at the end of the segment. i want to start first with what happened to you guys last year. you were heavily favored or a strong favorite to be players in the western conference but lost in the first round to the denver nuggets. i want to find out what you have been doing during the off-season to avoid that disappointment again. >> just working hard. i think it left a very bitter taste in our mouth last year after that embarrassing series against a really good denver nuggets team. but this year i am just trying to get back to the basics. i worked out with the trainers i worked out with before my rookie year and try to get in tiptop shape and get ready for the season. >> i know you added about 10-15 pounds since your rookie season. why the extra weight? >> just because the season is so long. that is one of the biggest adjustments in coming to the nba is that the 82-game season is so
4:39 pm
tough and all of the traveling takes a toll on your body. you need the added weight to withstand the bumps and bruises. >> dufeel during that denver series, they talked about wanting to wear you down. is that part of the mind set behind that extra weight? >> somewhat, but not so much. that was just a really good denver team. they did a great job of trapping the screens and throwing so many different things at me. we had a really good draft. got a few guards we going to add to the team that will help out a lot. >> i know you talked with byron scott about what you guys could do to improve the team the this off-season. you mentioned a couple of those guards. what came out of those talks? >> understanding that we control our own destiny. with the people that we have on our team we have to commit to
4:40 pm
each other. as long as we do that, it should be a great season. everyone in this league starts off with the same goal, and hais to win a championship. at the end it is only one. we will have to come together during training camp and find that bond and that chemistry and enjoy the season. >> that was sobering to go from that sexy pick to dropping out in the first round. was that a hum bling experience? >> very. once you get to game seven in the second round and next year you are like man, now we need to go forward. it is like we took a step backwards. this year we are going to fly under the radar. that is what we did a few years ago when we had such a great season. >> you are going to be without a key component to your team, tyson chandler. obviously he was traded to charlotte for emeka okafor.
4:41 pm
what does your team gain with okafor coming over? >> we are definitely going to miss tyson. he enabled me to take my game to the next level, but i am excited about emeka. he is a strong guy, great post presence and a great defender. the thing i like most about emeka is that he is going to be hungry. he hasn't played in the playoffs yet and should be bringing the hunger and firepower our team needs. >> lot of deals are going to be made around the league. san antonio, l.a., cleveland, orlando. what move impressed you the most? >> ron artest to the lakers. i remember where i was when i heard and i said what in the world is going on. how can a team that just won a championship get better. ron artest is a guy that plays hard every night. then when you put him with a guy
4:42 pm
like kobe, i think there will be another tough team once again this year. >> i am glad you mentioned artest. he made a comment where he said if l.a. doesn't repeat people should blame him. do you think he will be blamed if the lakers don't repeat? >> i am not sure. hopefully the hornets are to blame if they don't repeat. >> good point. when you played with shaq in all-star games, you are obviously a close friend to lebron james. what do you think about that pairing? >> i think those guys will be just fine. i think putting shaq with a guy like lebron only makes that team better. lebron knows how to carry the load night in and out and has a enforcer like shaq. cavs got better too, once again. >> you mentioned your book. a lot of it has to do with the fact you were a short kid growing up and took a lot of
4:43 pm
criticism. what was the worst experience hufrom being a small player? >> the worst experience from being a small player, probably just all of the jokes. my brother and his friends constantly picked on me about being short. freshman year of high school when the team ran out to smack the backboard before the game started, i had to grab the net and things like that. i prayed for height night in and out. just got to play with what i got. >> what do you want kids to take away from it? >> what i want kids to take away is to understand the book is obviously about basketball because that is what i do. but understand in life there will be challenges and people that tell you that you can and can't do something because of your statour and size and where you are from. if you believe in yourself and work hard, dreams do come true. i think i am a living testimony
4:44 pm
of that. >> thank you very much for being on the show and good luck with the book and the season. thanks for being here. >> no problem jeff. i really appreciate it. >> next on the forum, the 49ers accused the jets of tampering with michael crabtree. is there any truth? and what is next for crabtree?
4:47 pm
>> manning gets rid of it to garcon. nobody is waiting on him. touchdown. >> welcome back. joining me in the forum today is matt "money" smith and eamon mcaneney. we will start out with that "monday night football" game. matt, what do you make of the colts this season. does that game say they will be a pretty good team?
4:48 pm
>> it is indicative of what they can do. explosive teams don't need to dominate time of possession, that is what their opponents do. but as peyton manning or the sheriff now, what he is capable of doing. that is why you saw tony sparano employ the offensive approach he did. holding the ball for over 40 minutes. but sometimes you will still lose to a team with he, reggie wayne, dallas clark and all of those offensive weapons. they are not missing a beat. still the same colts offense. >> it was amazing how precise that drive was. more like a walk to grab the morning newspaper in 32 seconds. when they threw that first completion to reggie wayne you knew the dolphins were in trouble. three plays and going back to wayne and then dallas clark. it was so precise.
4:49 pm
almost like a seven on seven drill. the great downfield blocking on the touchdown. they will win a lot of games like this. the defense couldn't get the dolphins off the field so they will have to win games like this. >> dolphins had a chance to win the game at the end. ted ginn dropped a big pass. >> he made a great observation. maybe the colts scored too fast. when you have over three minutes to run a two minute drill and can't get past the 42-yard line and mismanage the clock and don't use your time-outs that does not bode well for a dolphins team that ought to have won that game. they controled that game. >> listen to tony sparano's postgame comments, sounded like a guide that was devastated. they acted like they had never been in the hurry up offense before. they were burning time-outs, taking time-outs when a colt
4:50 pm
player was injured. they looked like they had no clue how to run a two-minute offense. >> dolphins have a great running game, but their receivers are questionable. can this team bounce back again with those types of receivers? >> once again there was a touchdown pass in his hands that popped out. i don't know if they can do it again. a lot of people feel they employed the wildcat where a lot of teams were not ready for it. the nfl is adjustments. they ought to be able to adjust to the wildcat defense. i think that is people wondering whether or not they can get to that 11-win plateau. >> i think they will have a tough time bouncing back because the afc east is much better. jets are a much better team and even buffalo at 1-1 looks stronger than the dolphins. i think the strength of
4:51 pm
competition will give the dolphins problems. >> how about peyton manning. i have to acknowledge that peyton manning walked over to suzy kolber, did not make her chase him. smiled. gave her a nice long, extended two-minute answer. i lived in italy for a while. a bite of the thumb towards tom brady. this is what you are supposed to do after you win. >> that is what the sheriff does. >> we will stay in the east with the jets, accused of tampering by the san francisco 49ers because of their supposed involvement with michael crabtree. what do you make of these charges? do you think there is anything to them? >> i think there might be something to them. i don't know how you will prove them. they got out public because of comments made by deion sanders. i don't see why the jets would skate on these thin ice i think it is more out there because the 49ers want to try to force

michael crabtree to the negotiation table again. certainly a 2-0 start helps the franchise and hurts the wide receiver. >> nothing makes sense in this situation. we know the draft is a slotting process. if you get selected 10th and the ninth and 11th signed you should get the money allotted for you. my position is that the niners recognize that maybe there is tampering going on and maybe teams are lobbying comments towards eugene parker and if it is the jets they are letting them know you are not getting this guy meaning you are out of the running for michael crabtree. they are now done. that is probably a lesson to other teams. this will drag on and probably get worse. >> we are going talk about the denver broncos. 2-0 start after an amazingly awful off-season. trading jay cutler, brandon marshall, new defense.

impressed with what they have done so far? >> not really. they should have lost to the bengals and even if you are 2-0 with wins over the bengals and browns, let's not throw a parade. but josh mcdaniel had a rough beginning. now he gets a chance to start on solid ground with a 2-0 start. it is better than 0-2. >> san diego, pittsburgh, baltimore, new york giants, their schedule is brutal. good that he got two wins but after week 12 we will have to revisit where the broncos are. it could be the denver broncos have two wins. would not surprise me in the least. >> great job on the forum. when we come back you will get my final burn on another sports career for herschel walker. don't go anywhere. to the top, here comes kurt busch!

news, terrell owens used twitter apparently somebody sent owens a tweet saying dallas just found out they had a t.r. problem and not a t.o. problem. while it sounds like typical t.o., let's not overlook one lousey. better with owens now playing in buffalo and remember that t.o. is not the only person calling out romo lately. emmitt smith did the same thing a few weeks back. the fact is that romo has to elevate his game. he has only give his critics more reason to bash him. speaking of twitter, thank you robert henson. henson is a washington redskins

rookie linebacker who was pretty upset about home fans booing during sunday's win over st. louis. so upset he called the fans dim wits. of course henson has not apologized for his actions, but there is a lesson to be learned. just because you have an open forum does not mean you can say anything you want. i hear more and more about how proathletes are excited to control their own messages over twitter. henson proved how fast you can get burned when you don't know what you are doing. somebody tell me what herschel walker is thinking signing a contract to do a mixed martial arts promoter strikeforce. from what i can tell this is not a joke. walker, who is the same former nfl star who is now 47 years old

will be fighting in the ring by next year. if this was 1995 i might be intrigued by this decision. but today all i can do is think walker is either broke or starving for attention. sure, walker has done interesting things in his life. fifth degree black belt in tae kwon do and performed for the esteemed fort worth ballet. but it sounds like a man who does not know when to let go. all right. i want to thank chris paul and my forum guests and you for tuning in. i will see you next time. and i am out.
