police headquarters where the commissioner released a uptate on the investigation. alex. >> that says they are no longer looking for the guys n less than 24 hours, they have managed to arrest two suspects in the shooting of a baltimore police officer. >> there are is a police presence outside of the home of the detective aaron harris but a chance flooded the neighborhood after he was attacked. >> we know he was tempting to get into the home when he was approached they were trying to rob him. >> he was rushed to the hospital. a few hours later, a teen named craig tilllet had a gunshot wound to the leg. >> with a story about how he

had been shot tkw-bgtdives greeted him. >> he was led to a second teen. they have been charged with adults in an apparent robbery attempt. the detective was off duty in plains clothes. police do not think they knew they were taking on an armed officer. >> they thought he was an easy mark. you know to their surprise, it was detective harris who was armed with a .40 caliber. so, we thank the lord he is still alive. >> reporter: the detective is 39. he is a 16-year veteran with the force. he underwent surgery for a gunshot wound. he has surgery to go on his leg for two more wounds. the teens have been charged with attempted murder as assaults. back to you. >> thank you very much. a young girl is fighting for her life after being

diagnosed with h1n1. jessica kartalija is in the newsroom with a update. >> reporter: and destiny parker collapsed in a school on monday. she was taken to the hospital where she went into card lack arrest. the 13-year-old is sedated. her aunt said her heart is stronger and she is expected to recover. students and parents at the school have been notified of her illness. and the mayor announced plans to vaccinate as many students as possible against the flu, back to you. at 5:00 we talked to parker's battle with h1n1. speed cameras will be in the city. next thursday they will go up near public school zones. if you are caught going over the limit you will receive a 40- dollar ticket. 51 cameras are expected to be placed around the city. the supreme court justice ruth gins berg is back at work.

she was admitted to a hospital last night after falling ill. she recently underwent surgery for cancer. she joined the court in 1993 after being nominated by bill clinton. a surprise announcement from the president at the economic summit in pittsburgh. the spotlight shifted to iran for violating the law with more nuclear secrets. >> the president made the accusation iran has been hiding a nuclear facility. together with the leaders of france and plane, he demanded that the government allow inspectors inside. >> the government must demonstrate through deeds its peaceful intentions or be held accountable to the international standards and international law. >> reporter: the u.s. has been monitoring the site and says that it is not operational yet but it is large enough to enrich uranium for 1 or 2 bombs

. a pregnant woman says it is a miracle she survived the shooting in tennessee. the woman was shot in the stomach. she was shot by an ex-boyfriend and father of the unborn child. she was engaged to be married to a soldier in iraq. the gunman faces attempted first degree murder.

for the second time this week a truck is robbed in south florida. video show as guard being ambushed by a man at a gas station. three suspects got away in a white car with cash and the guard's gun. police are trying to determine if it is linked to a previous robbery in which a guard was shot by three men. it is right out of the movies. robbers lowered from a helicopter and a lump of cash and a twist that any crime writer would be proud of. mark phillips talks about the crime that took place in sweden just before dawn. >> reporter: 5 a.m. on a dark stockholm morning, police rush in to set up a perimeter around a robbery in progress. a helicopter is overhead, the target is a depot where cash, no one will say how much, was being held awaiting distribution to the atm machines.

it looked like a commando operation, the helicopter had been stolen from a local airport. the thieves were lowered on ropes on to the roof of the building. the few witnesses said they heard the robber's blast their way in. fearing they were heavily armed, the first wave of police was instructed to wait for a s.w.a.t. team to arrive. but the crooks were ahead of them hauling their take back on to the helicopter and making good their escape. when the police tried to get their own helicopter in the air to pursue the robbers they were foiled with enthey discovered a package labeled bomb lying next to the aircraft they wanted to use. they decided not to risk it. the thieves' helicopter was found some time later, the perpetrators disappeared along with the money. they left no trail just a lot of embarrassed police in the wake. >> the reward of 7 million

(closing bell). >> the markets losing streak is at three days. the dow closed down 42 points, s&p 6, nasdaq 17. let's go to new york where we have the money watch update. >> reporter: the global economy has a new board of directors. leaders of the g-20 summit declared they will be coordinating policy from now on. they're working to shore up the economic recovery and put rules in place to prevent another melt down. they did not iron out the differences over capping bonuses but they will require banks to make sure they have enough capital to absorb losses. new home sales picked up for the fifth month in a row. not as much as investors opened. the sales rose signaling the housing market recovery.

growing problem. >> 5000 people were killed in accidents involving large trucks. loses of others died in crashes. in many of those cases it was found they were paying ait exto their electronic devices, not the road. >> the group advocates is urging the department of transportation to impose restrictions on the use of electronic devices on commercial vehicles. that could mean no texting, talking. hands free for anyone behind the wheel of a truck, bus or passenger van. he says his work will be tough the government could move quickly to restrict the use for drivers as it did for employees after it was town. right now the rules vary from state to state but experts

him at 13. they saw a guy ride away a deputy spotted him. it was a lack of eye contact with the deputy that was the tip off that resulted in the boy being put into custody. we have a tendency if we see a sheriff we look in that direction. he, i guess attempted to not make eye contact with the deputy. he felt it was suspicious. they believed the 16-year-old may have started at least a dozen, possibly 14 fires. this is the second high-profile arrest in less than a month in southern california. joe biden said that victims who need help will get it. the vice president is in georgia today where he toured
