him in handcuffs. mike hellgren. >> hughley pleaded guilty in that incident. federal investigators say faisal shahzad's name was put on the no fly list just hours before he attempted to escape. >> reporter: a criminal complaint says shahzad confessed to driving the suv to the heart of the city. the government says shahzad confessed to participating in bomb making training in pakistan. several of his friends in the country are undergoing questioning. the 30-year-old was picked up

just in time. he was on a no fly list and paid cash for his last minute ticket. but was still allowed to board a plane bound to dubai. federal officials down play the close call. >> i was never in fear of losing him. >> reporter: the charges include attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction. and trying to kill or maim people in the u.s. shahzad became a u.s. citizen last year. he lived in this apartment where authorities found bomb making equipment. he was married with two children, neighbors were shocked. he used his own name when he bought the suv three weeks ago. police also found a key inside that opened the door to his

connecticut home. in new york, katherine brown, wjz. a real estate broker came forward saying that shahzad told him years ago that he didn't like president bush or the war in iraq. human remains were thrown into a garage and left there to sit. wjz is live downtown, tonight kai jackson reports, tonight the coroner has lost his license. >> we >> reporter: we want to warn you, the details of this story is graphic. the board of coroners have

suspended the license of chamber's funeral home. >> we're in the most trusted profession. and when someone trusts their loved one and we found something that will not even follow the law. >> reporter: apparently an initial investigation found deficiencies at the business. when the inspectors returned the problem was worse. conditions were unsanitary in the ebmaument room. many bodies were not properly stored and leaking fluids prevented identification. >> we couldn't find a name based on the fluids changing the tags. >> reporter: some of the bodies were cadavers that had been donated to science and were scheduled for cremation. the details of the funeral home

are absolutely horrifying. the inspectors claiming bodies were piled 12 feet high and 12 feet wide with fluids dripping and pungent smell. now it's ironic at this point that this is all happening on the same day that governor o' malley signed a law 304. >> thank you. there will be a hearing at the epd the end of the month. at that time the chambers will have a chance to relate their side of the story. wjz was the first station at the scene as medics treated a salon owner. officers quickly set out to

look for the suspect. using police dogs and a helicopter. a man shot the salon owner after demanding money. wjz is live at police headquarters and tonight kelly mcpherson explains the charges stem from an incident involving two teenagers. >> reporter: prosecutors say it's taken an entire year to gather witnesses and for a police internal investigation to conclude, but now tonight, three officers are charged with kidnapping two different teens and dropping them off far away from home with no way to get back. three cops are being accused of abusing their badge power and kidnapping two teenage boys. a civil suit has already been filed against the officers. now they are indicted on 14 counts. it happened in may 2009 when

the famed old opri suffered major damage, it will be closed for the next several months. dre, saunders and lancaster were looking for a robbery target. betts was shot at his home. the three teens were previously in the custody of the district's youth rehabilitation services. the district general said they all left the group homes where they were supposed to be confined. despite battling substance abuse for most of his life, drugs were not the cause of death for cory haim. the 38-year-old died from pneumonia complications. that was march 10. the report only indicated low levels of over the counter and prescription drugs were in haims body. marijuana was present but it
