dropping one charge against the financing dropping the second count. meaning, she doesn't dispute the facts, but didn't plea guilty. she'll have to pay a $2500 fine. >> today ends the case and i'll continue to serve the community to the best of my want to help make baltimore city, a safer, healthier city. >> reporter: she was accused of asking for money from developers. the state prosecutor's office agreed to the deal. they're pushing for a more serious bribery charge. >> you know, we take the case that really needs to be resolved is the bribery case and that's in front of the court of appeals.

up shortly in the first warning weather segment. and an armed robber is in the hospital after being shot by a school police officer. three masked men made their way to the dollar store and a witness ran across the street to the wendys and saw a police officer and told him what was happening. >> one of the suspects engaged the officer and the officer struck the suspect. >> he's being treated for a nonlife threatening injury. and grief counselors are at harford community college after the death of a young student. on friday, the 18-year-old collapsed during the first day of basketball practice. he went into cardiac arrest. he was pronounced dead and he just graduated harford technical and a cause of death isn't determined.

and a veteran of the police department is layed to rest today. last monday, the 61-year-old officer was killed in a car accident in pennsylvania. a funeral was held this morning in catonsville. he was a 33 year veteran for the police department and he leaves bind a wife -- behind a wife and two children. expect delays on the inner lupe beltway from noon to 3:00. >> if you're traveling to europe, several believe that terrorists are planning on hitting a major european capitol. here's charlie d'agata with more. >> reporter: security teams are bracing for a possible terror attack. japan is warning its citizens to stay away from popular european tourist sites. right now, i feel safe in paris. >> reporter: there's no

indication that terrorists are targeting americans. and french authorities are investigating nine bomb threats in paris last month and two at the identical tower. the u.s. intelligence officials think that osama bin laden is behind the plot. terrorists may be planning to unleash shooters with assault weapons to attack in europe and islamic militants are modeling the strategy over the terror attacks in mumbai where 170 were killed. the u.s. state department is warning americans to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings and officials are giving no details about the targets and timing of the attack. >> and they're not going to give anything away to the terrorists and that can be difficult for the public to understand in terms of what they have to do. >> reporter: some tourists say all they can do is live life. >> i'll still go.
