you saw. it's broadcast tonight at 7:00. a man is behind bars for hiring a man to kill his wife. he wanted a hit man to kill his wife, elizabeth. it's a shock to everyone, friends and family at this point. >> they were issues regarding the potential of possible out come of the divorce. apparently, mr. boyd wanted to avoid them. >> and she was planning on divorcing her husband and the police believe that was the reason for the murder-for-hire plot. and he's charged for murder now. and it was a violent saturday night and sunday morning in the city. it's one that saw five people murdered and all five died in separate shootings.

two could be related and so far, no arrests and according to the baltimore sun, there have been 164 homicides in the city this year. there's a new grant for the police officers. and there's a -- this comes after it was discovered that the baltimore police department leads the nation in rape cases unfounded. mayor stephanie rawlings- blake is meeting with the president and other officials in washington, d.c. today. among the topics is the importance in investing in infrastructure. now, it could be days in the the chile miners are rescued. >> reporter: the rescue workers

finished the last of 15, 40 feet long tubes used to bring up the miners next step, building a platform above the shaft, this is going to support the capsule. they'll hope to start the rescue as early as wednesday. below ground, the men have been preparing for the big day with a special diet including a high calorie chocolate diet and they've taken aspirin, they'll have to endure a twisting, 20 minute two foot ride in a rescue capsule. workers were able to break through to the miners saturday. >> and it was unbelievable. the feelings and all that everyone was going through. >> the family members are waiting for the moments they can see their loved ones. >> she said she shows she'll hug him but she'll just cry and
