that suspect tonight but he did not return our phone call. a high school employee is caught trying to sell guys on school property. police arrested city college staff member mr. miles after officers organized a sting on campus. miles was immediately terminated from his hall monitor position at that prestige us public high school. in july another employeesy was arrested phone sexual abuse charges. a man was shot and killed today. homicide detectives -- police identified the victim as a 25- year-old male. they are still searching for a suspect tonight. and there is more danger tonight. -- following the biggest leaning in history. that information could undermine national security and it could put u.s. soldiers at

greater risk. >> reporter: it's the biggest leak of secret military information in u.s. history. war files released by wiki leaks detail years of bloodshed and abuse in iraq while the u.s. is accused of turning the other way. >> we hope to correct some of that attack on the troops that occurred before the war, during the war and which has continued on. >> reporter: the nearly 400,000 leaked documents are field reports from u.s. military and intelligence agents gathered between 2004 and 2009. they indicate u.s. forces often fail to investigate hundreds of cases of reported abuse, tortures and even murders by iraqi security. they also show as many as 15,000 more civilians died than what was publicly reported. david martin notes the leak

doesn't offer much new information on the war but says the documents could be used to learn more about how the military operates. >> i think the pentagon feels that these documents tell the enemy more than the pentagon wants them to know. >> reporter: the documents are believed to have been given to wiki leaks by -- more could be on the way. wiki leaks says it's getting ready to release 15,000 more documents. and this is the second time this year that wiki leaks released classified documents. the first time involved more than 74,000 documents on the war in afghanistan. three masked men vandalize a high school. a search is underway to try and find them. this happened early this morning, damaging the school's gym. no arrests have been made in

the case. police bust an elaborate drug lab in the dorms in georgetown. a highly -- drug. 400 stoops were evacuated from the building -- students. 140 people lost their jobs in baltimore's -- closed down. now some former ploys will go after the walt disney company. the workers claim that kills any violated federal law -- disney. disney said the restaurants were too expensive to run and they didn't generate as much profit as film or television. are the roads safe when teenagers get behind the wheel? a promising new study shows there is a drop in fatal crashes among teenagers. tonight we explain why.

>> reporter: a 36 drop in fatal crashes among the nation's youngest drivers. that's what a new study on teen driving found this week. it tracks 16 and 17-year-olds between 2004 and 2008. >> there are some things that we think are body -- turning out well. >> reporter: it allows teens to step up their driving privileges as they learn. they can start the learning stage at 15 and nine months. they can learn a standard drives license at 18. >> teenagers are i know are becoming a little more aware of their driving. >> driving. >> reporter: st study also found they are more focused on driving instead of distractions. >> we often hear about a car full of teens and we know that unfortunately those risks are greater when you have other teen gleanings you can't drive

your friends for a certain amount of months. which is good. >> reporter: another reason why teens may be safer in cars, with the rise in parents, some parents are less likely to give teens the keys for a drive. >> although fewer teens are dying, car accidents continue to be the number one cause of death for young drivers. well, it was a beautiful fall day in maryland, let's take a live look where it is very mild out there and clear for most of us. bernadette woods is live. >> there is a beautiful moon. there is. if you get a chance to walk outside, check that out. this is what we have going on. maybe a shower or two moving a cross northeastern parts of the state. showers have stayed off to the north. what it's doing, though, is keeping the warm air in place.

stuck on the tracks when police arrived and an officer managed to help the man escape right before it was smashed by the train. an investigation is underway. a swimmer on the u.s. national team dies. fran told his coach that he wasn't feeling well right before he failed to finish a race today. they found his body near the last leg of the course. the cause of his death is still under investigation, but the water temperature was in the mid-to high 80s and several other swimmers were treated for heat exhaustion. an american spokesman for al-qaeda urges muslims to attack the u.s. he says that muslims living in the us and europe are obligated to carry out a tasks. he converted to i see lam before moving to pakistan in 1988. he has been wanted by the fbi.

a college student is killed in a shark attack. and tonight a friend who witnessed it is speaking out. there is his board right there. when his friend says he heard a desperate cry for help. a shark bit into his leg and then pulled him under water. they are still trying to determine what kind of shark attacked him. >> the witness told us between 14 rand 20 feet is -- 14 and 20 feet. the size of the teeth and the width is going to help the experts determine what kind of shark this is. we have not determined the type. the witness did say that the top of the shark was gray, the bottom was white. that's typically a great white. residents say there have been several sightings this year. it has been months since the gulf oil spill was capped but they are fearing the worst again.

crews are checking on an area of dark brown water just south of new orleans trying to see whether it's oil in the water or perhaps allergy. they will -- algae. they will run some tests on it. every time it rains, tons of trash and debris wash into the streams and rivers. today, baltimore took some steps to clean up what is already there and also try to stop pollution in the future. >> reporter: it looks good from far, may be far from good. today, legions volunteers came to clean. no one through this bottle here. it started here on our streets. today the mayor floated this idea. our streets are our streams. >> the streets are our streams is a really good point. i think everybody can think of when it rains really hard and the water that rush us down. it picks up debris and other

people helped with today's cleanup. on facebook i noticed one of the viewers wrote in and said the harbor seems cleaner. that must be why. >> that is some good news. >> perfect fall day. i apologize for my voice. i have a little bit of a cold but we're going to get through this. we got up to 70 degrees outside. we did start out the day chilly but it was beautiful out there. for all the events going on outdoors. 62 degrees is where we still are outside. it is to very warm outside. with this southerly wind most of this week is going to be warm. there is a couple of storms coming our way but it will stay above average the entire next five days. off to the north there is a warm front. couple of showers with it. so maybe a passing shower across the north tonight. not a huge deal because most of the rain is either going to be off to the north report out to the west. what we're going to see is

patchy clouds tonight and then tomorrow. the storm will weaken as it moves our way and a better chance for showers is going to kick in on monday. here's how it goes. this one is passing by to the north. shower next few hours, you will see sunshine break out tomorrow. then -- we are going to see a chance for a few showers on monday with some clouds around. another one comes our way for wednesday. now, in the tropics, we do still have tropical storm richard. 69 miles per hour, this is moving off to the west northwest about 7 miles per hour. if it gets to winds of 74, it will become a hurricane. then it looks like it will cut a cross yucatan and go back across the water. however, a couple of the forecast models bring it back out into the water may turn it back around to the north. so something we will watch over the next few days about for --
