a deadly drink, a 21-year- old dies after drinking four loko. and why loved ones say it should be banned. hello, i'm don scott. >> and i'm jessica kartalija. and here's what people are talking about today. the death of a promising 21 year old. her friends say before her car wreck, she was drinking a drink called four loko. mike hellgren has the details. good afternoon, don and everyone. it's been banded in several states the manufactures doesn't believe it's dangerous, they want to keep the consumers informed but the friends and family of courtney spurry want it off of the shelves now.

a car accident killed this 21- year-old, friends and family held a vigil for the young woman and they want action telling wjz she drank two cans of the drink four loko and it also contains alcohol. they say she went out of control and she flew into a rage and she took the keys of someone else's car. >> we have created a website for her, it's banfourloko.com. >> she changed that night, she was not the same person. she couldn't remember people's names. she blacked out. >> reporter: and four loko is pulled from shelves in four states and not maryland. the attorney general banned similar drinks tells us that the drinks taste and look like energy drinks and they're popular with young people who

form the wrong belief that the caffeine counter acts the alcohol. in washington state, it was banned from the shelves after students got sick at a party. now, people are drinking to the point of it being extremely dangerous. >> reporter: and police say that her car hit the center line line and rolled and she was thrown 90 feet. her uncle: >> we feel that the kids don't know what they're consuming. >> reporter: now, four loko said their beverage should be taken responsibly and they'll work with federal and state regulators in the number of investigations going on now. thank you, mike. it has the caffeine of four sodas and the alcohol content of about five beers and it's $3 and the husband of the top

lawmaker in baltimore falls victim of a car theft. and someone broke into mayor stephanie rawlings-blake's husband's car and stole his satellite radio. this was discovered yesterday morning no deal, baltimore city police reject a much talked about contract proposal. and gigi has more on what this means for the city. good afternoon, jessica and everyone. the police union voted against this proposal. 95% voted down the deal. giving the officers an extra five vacations days and dropping their pay 2%. they called it a slap in the face and said that officers should be rewarded for putting their life on the line. all city employees have
