far from over, more fallout from the corruption investigation that landed a politician in cuffs. good evening, thank you for joining us, i'm adam may. more arrests are expected in the probe involving jack johnson. and we're live. and the embattled politician is now getting support from people right here in baltimore. >> reporter: he is getting that support from a politician and his congregation who are praying for the man at the center of the scandal.

to some people it does not look good for the executive. >> if it is true, it is horrible. you would feel let down by someone that you trusted. >> reporter: he and his wife were arrested on corruption charges, their home raided after a wire tap phone conversation. the fbi said they discussed a check from a developer just as agents were knocking on the door. lesley johnson asked her husband do you want me to put it down the toilet, yes, flush that. the johnson discussed $80,000 in cash where johnson allegedly told his wife to hide the money in her bra. charges may be linked to a development near the metro station in a civil case a hotel owner claims that johnson solicited bribes. >> i'm innocent of the charges,ky not wait for the facts to come out. >> reporter: he will be defending himself in a federal

courtroom but for now, it's church where he is getting support. emmit burns and his church spent part of the day in prayer for the couple. >> some in the media saying it will hurt the county and do business in the county but he is a friend. a friend is closer than a brother. for that reason we dedicated the start of the service for him and his wife. >> reporter: some pray for help, others hope for justice. >> if he is found guilty, i hope that he would be prosecuted and, you know, have to serve a punishment. >> reporter: the u.s. attorney in maryland said the arrest could just be the tip of the iceberg. they say there are more arrests and charges potentially coming in the next week. we're live. >> we'll keep an eye on that. thank you. johnson was serving his final

term. and the inincoming politician comes in december 6th. a search underway for a missing child in baltimore city. look here. police say darryl brown was seen yesterday afternoon in the 800 block of west fayette. he was wearing a black hat and old navy sweat shirt and jeans. anyone with information is urged to call 911. and a mystery in baltimore county after someone fired shots at cars that were driving near loch raven reservoir. they responded to the area and they searched for the shooter but they found no one. it appears the weapon used may have been a pellet gun. a person was hit by flying glass and taken to the hospital. bloodshed in the food court. a teen is stabbed inside a mall. two people are facing several charges including assault. the victim was treated at shock trauma. it is not clear what caused the

fight. a hit and run crash leaves a maryland man in a coma tonight. the graduate was run over at the university of miami where right now he is a student. tonight his family is pleading for information. >> this is my son, he is 21. he is a junior here at the university of miami. he is a great young man. >> the parents of a student flying from their home in baltimore county to be at their son's side in florida and plea for help in finding a hit and run driver who hurt the loch raven graduate. >> he is an eagle scout, he is a duck and goose hunter, he is a lifeguard during the summer in delaware. please, please, help us. >> i'm paul... >> he is an english major, he was walking home on saturday crossing a street near campus

when he was hit by a light gray or silver-colored car. witnesses could give a vague description of the driver. >> we believe it may have been an elderly male hoeurbgs may not have known that he hit paul. >> paul has head trauma -- who may not have known he hit paul. >> he has head trauma. that's the critical injury. he as other injuries but right now that's what is so life threatening for him. he is in a coma. >> we're getting ready to celebrate thanksgiving and we're going to miss him. >> people who saw the accident were able to provide a partial tag number to the police. they're searching for that vehicle tonight. well, shock at a church in virginia where someone left a baby just inside a duffel bag. a girl was found at 6:30 this morning in the parking lot. the temperatures were right around 40 degrees. the girl was in good condition.

police are trying to find out what happened to the mother. they say it appears she did not give birth in a hospital. investigators are working around the clock to find a missing family from ohio. they solveed a piece of the puzzle when they rescued one of the children and made an arrest. we have more. >> reporter: a s.w.a.t. team stormed the home and found a missing girl bound and gagged. >> we have located and rescued the 1 #-year-old -- 1 #-year- old -- 13-year-old. >> they arrested matthew hoffman. >> they brought in vehicles. >> reporter: investigators are looking for her brother cody, mother and her mother's friend. all four disappeared on wednesday. police found blood in the home.

they located her truck near the college campus and locked down the school. the investigation led police to hoffman's house ten miles away where they found sarah. >> at this time we don't know if he is connected to the family or whether he connected himself to the family. >> reporter: hoffman's family's house is walking distance within the victim's home. he has a prior conviction for arson and is not cooperating with the investigators. one neighbor says that he threatened her son. >> he is a weirdo. he was weird. >> reporter: sarah is in good condition and is talking to police. >> we're optimistic. we are trying to remain optimistic. >> reporter: the community is helping with the search for the three who are still missing. >> police do expect additional charges against hoffman. he will be in court tomorrow

for a hearing. a teen has died following a stabbing just blocks from patterson park. that was breaking news last night. police found the 19-year-old david hopkins badly injured last night. he died today. they have detained a person of interest and they are expected to file charges soon. an argument leads to gunfire in a street. police say a 26-year-old man was shot in the stomach after a confrontation near saint paul streets. the victim is hospitalized now and no arrests. a driver shot trying to help someone out. tonight his death is a mystery and friends are pleading for information. dozens of tow trucks in honor of the 23-year-old andy joyce. he was murdered there november 1. his friends handed out fliers offering a reward and former boss hopes the gathering could encourage new witnesses to come forward. >> we're not going to go away,

call. >> reporter: that call never came a truck broadsided him, killing him. it is a scene that the city wants to avoid so council members approved a bill of rights making sure riders get equal access to the streets, better parking and the right to travel safely and free of fear. >> the bikers are not second class citizens. they're right up there with zoom, zoom. >> reporter: tommy nash has been hit before. he rides bike works. the shop put the bill of rights on the web site for bikers. it is a step that could put baltimore on par with other cities like portland, oregon and seattle. >> it is just so good for the city to encourage bikers. it releases congestion and traffic and you have a healthy city. >> reporter: the city said the bill of rights provides special training for police officers who are called to accident

check out the robbers in colorado. they broke into a medical marijuana store but they did not realize that the doors lock behind them so they were trapped. the cops happened to be next door on a call when the alarm went off. they did not get very far. all three men are soldiers at a airport fort carson. a pileup in california, five people were killed in the crash that started when a driver tried to pass a group of bikers. he forced an suv driver off the road and hit the bikers. the suv driver was charged with dui but looking for the driver who caused the accident originally. the price of freedom, a british couple freed by pirates after someone paid a hefty ransom. the chandlers were released after being held for a year. pirates kidnapped them while they sailed around the indian ocean. sources say someone made a $750,000 ransom to buy their

the winds not much of a factor. >> they are coming into the west as a front approaches. and spotty showers out there and will be through the night. the thing is that this is falling apart as it moves our way. more to it yesterday when it was out to the west but as it moves to the east. look at this. there is not much left with it. out west and parts of the state. clouds and showers tonight into the first half of tomorrow and then by tomorrow afternoon, this front is going to lift out of here, leaving news the mild air. it comes together like this. there is the front and bypasses us to the north. but then on tuesday it is a different story. this next storm will take a farther track and move. it will scoop up moisture. it will break out the heavier rains and the afternoon hours. it will take until wednesday for it to leave us a bit of rain around during the morning hours. after that, though. there is cold air.
