kelly mcpherson explains the play to pay scheme is becoming for reaching. >> reporter: the fbi has now revealed three separate crimes. the latest two involve police officers, in one case facilitating drug deals and in the other taking kick backs to look the other way when tax fraud is happening. claims of corruption in prince george's county began at the top when the county executive jack johnson was charged with taking prescribes. nine others including three police officers have been indicted in two different scams. the first involves a howard county who owns three liquor stores. they sell cigarettes and alcohol without paying the appropriate taxes and that they were helped by a corporate in the prince george's county police department.

armrick have been implicated. dozens of bank accounts, cars and property must be surrendered. including the $3.1 million home in clarksville. the second set of suspects include officer simick who was selling cocaine. >> these individuals are bad people that need to go away. it's going to impact us and this will kick you in the gut. >> reporter: jack johnson maintains his innocence. after the fbi affidavit outlined a conversation between him and his wife leslie about a $100,000 check from a developer. he says tear it up. that's the only thing you need to do. he refers to $80,000 in cash: he says put it in your bra and walk out or something, i don't know what to do. >> i'm going to remain strong, i'm going to finish what i

started. >> reporter: the newly elected leader held a news conference today saying he wanted to move the county forward but did not take any questions. kelly johnson is on a home monitoring device until his next court appearance. police make an arrest in a case that proves no one is immune to car theft not only the mayor's family. anthony thomas is being charged with theft after he was found to have broken into the car of the husband of mayor blake. -- also transformers short out. no one was hurt.

is it an invasion of privacy. there's controversy over those full body scanners and full body pat downs. kai jackson explains the controversy is exploding just days before the busy holiday travel season begins, kai. >> that's right denise, it's a very controversial issue and right now if you listen to a lot of groups it's an issue of whether we're going to have safety or privacy. if you fly in america and many other parts of the world. fear of terrorism has made devices like full body scanners a way of life. some question whether that should be the case. >> there's real risk here because the machines are designed and capable of taking detailed naked images. >> the scanners show a detailed picture of a body. tanner refused to go through a full scanner over the weekend. >> they told me to go through the scanner, i said i don't think so.

>> reporter: tanner posted mobile phone video on the internet have fueled the fire. a movement called we won't fly is now questioning whether the scanners are harmful. the scanners are used at vwi marshall. >> it's a part of safety. if i have to go through one that's fine, if i don't get picked that's fine. i feel more secure if i do go through one. >> reporter: supporters are concerned about the possible safety implications of full body scanners. they are also challenging what they perceive to be an invasion of privacy. to make their voices heard, they are encouraging citizens not to fly on if day before thanksgiving. >> i have not been through one. my concern would be one of privacy. and how safe is it receiving that amount of radiation. >> reporter: the american college of radiology said that the amount of radiation you get from these full body scanners is less than your cell phone. the group we won't fly seems to

debate that issue, back to you. >> a new cbs news poll shows 81% of americans say they are okay with the full body scanners. a brave girl who's family may be dead. that's how police describe the only person found from a missing family in ohio. manuel gallegos reports, the main suspect is not cooperating with police. >> reporter: investigators focused on a park in mount vernon, ohio. combing through the pond with drivers, searching by air and on the ground. they are looking for any sign of three people misses misses since wednesday. >> they want to remain optimistic, that tina, stephanie and cody are alive and being held against their will some where. >> there's a possibility that these folks are dead.

accomplices in the scam. casey butler collapsed and died in the middle of her music lesson today. bullet her went to bel air high school. imagine heading out to a sunday drive only to become a moving target. that's exactly what happened as several people got hit with a bb gun. weijia jiang talks to one of the victims. >> reporter: it was supposed to be a quiet drive home from work. >> it was a nice day, i had my top down. >> reporter: but for gordon hester it became a dangerous drive. >> all of a sudden, i got pain on my leg like something hit me. >> reporter: it was not a bird but a gunshot leaving a nasty wound that swelled and bruised. his was one of five cars that a

gunman shot at. >> you saw the bb. >> then i saw the bb on the floor mat. >> and you thought? really? >> yeah, right. can you believe it. yeah. it's crazy. >> reporter: police say the bb guns shootings took place sunday around 11:00 p.m. many windows were blown out along with hector, a 25-year- old man was injured when glass flew into his eye. police believe the shooter was hiding in these woods, the elevated location gives the suspects two advantages advantages, you can see the cars clearly and it's a disguise. >> it's ridiculous that somebody didn't get hurt, that somebody didn't crash their car after getting hit. >> reporter: the suspect could face a long list of criminal charges for assault and property damage.

a mother and daughter. her body was found in louisiana last month. tonight police believe the body of her mother sue helen has been found in arizona. they say sanders befriended the two of them a few months ago. a $20,000 reward is being offered to find a person that has shot at several military buildings in washington, d.c. the fbi says they don't believe the shooter wants to hurt anyone. there have been five separate injuries, all of them linked to the same weapon. a man leaps in front of an oncoming train to save the life of a stranger. tonight adam may sits down with that hero to talk about what was going through his mind when he jumped on to the tracks. >> reporter: a death defying rescue caught on tape.

the barometer right now is holding steady. take a look at radar. we do have some rain that has moved into the region as you can see. it's just to the east northeast. around the city now just making it up to the beltway. there's townsend, steady and light rain to the south also to the east of the area. at least it's steady light rain. a few pockets of moderate rain. moving out toward pennsylvania also down to virginia and west virginia. overnight tonight, this will continue to move across the region. it may actually stop for a little while then pick up again tomorrow and into tomorrow afternoon. and probably again into tomorrow night. temperature wise, right now hasn't changed much. 48degrees, the coolest spot 41 down in oakland. the winds are going to pick up a lot. winds this system picks up in

this area, the winds are going to shift and dry things out. then they might pick it up to 35, 30 miles per hour. not much wind then winds will blow things around. dry things out quickly on wednesday. as the low pressure down here over northern mississippi heads across the tennessee down to pittsburgh. the windchill is not as extensive right now as it was earlier. to the north, showing some light rain. a lot of it not reaching the ground because it's so light. and maybe a little fog here or there. all in all, expecting maybe a half an inch reports when it's all said and done, wednesday we will get some rain. temperatures will fall by the end of the week. winds at five to 15 knots. and the advisory beginning tuesday afternoon into the evening hours. bay temp now around 55 degrees,
