>> reporter: brooks robinson was expected to undergo a treatment, but yesterday he started feeling sick. today released his statement. thank you for your concern. i was originally scheduled for a routine outpatient procedure. my doctor chose admit my to aggressively treat the infection and i'm reacting well to the antibiotics. denise koch talked to robinson shortly after learning he had cancer. he's a legend and an icon. not only in baltimore but in the world of baseball. holding nearly a dozen records. he spent his entire career with the orioles and is considered one of the best to play the

but those pushing for the bigger buffer zones say the current law of 100 feet is not good enough. >> it's very close. it is very close. i kept thinking, if i were mourning a family member, and someone had a sign that said you know god bless dead soldiers or something like that, i would be offended. >> reporter: earlier this month, u.s. representative ruthe sburger introduced a bill that would increase the buffer zone to 150 feet and adds a time limit when they wouldn't be able to protest a certain amount of time before or after. that bill is also being considered right now. kelly mcpherson. there are two versions of this bill that will have to be consolidated. a dangerous bank robbery and an innocent woman been taking hostage. we are hearing from the police

the barometer holding steady. we saw snow last night. northern cal, northern fredrick, northern baltimore and northern harper. and lancaster may see a little bit of a lightning snow. 32 some freezing fog in oakland right now. freezing out there. they'll see a little bit more snow. down to the south and east with temperatures in the low 40s, they'll just stay light rain. right now upper 30s and 40s around the region. winds will continue to bring in this cool damp air. and it will shift to the north. eventually they will shift to the northwest. hopefully with the winds coming down, may give us a little bit of clearing and maybe a little sunshine in the afternoon. that big storm that you saw in florida, still a good way across the state but it's developing into a high pressure. that's going to move into the east coast eventually becoming a big storm.

it will bring rain to some areas. from poconos to vermont, new hampshire, maine some where tomorrow they will be seeing rain and snow. do expect to see rain overnight, maybe a little bit of wet snow. other wise hopefully we'll see a little clearing. now on saturday we'll see a weak front going through the area. maybe a light shower. then it'll turn milder on saturday with a great deal of sunshine. another front coming in from the west and lingering through saturday which is opening day by the way. so tonight look for some rain and northwest of the city maybe a little wet snow before it ends. perhaps a little bit of sunshine after everything moves out of here finally. just a slight chance of a shower. much nicer on sunday, upper 50s. 54 as that warm air starts to
