arnold schwarzenegger secret. the movie star, former governor and former body building drops a bomb shell. >> what he's saying about the decade long lie. i'm vic carter. >> and i'm denise koch. >> first the announcement then the shocking news. arnold schwarzenegger announces he fathered a child more than a decade ago. >> reporter: arnold schwarzenegger returned home from his office tuesday after the world learned his secrets. he admits he fathered a child with a former household staff member. he has reportedly provided for the child ever since. in a statement arnold schwarzenegger says there is no secret and i take full responsibility for the hurt i have caused. his wife released a statement of her own calling this a heartbreaking time.

brings new jobs. >> reporter: the immediate need will be jobs. >> reporter: the ground is broken and the road to 21st century transportation is being paveed. gm will build a new electric motor plant next to the allison transmission facility. >> this is part of our goal to redesign motors that will lower costs, improve reliability and performance. >> reporter: gm says it's a $246,000 investment that will create about 200 new jobs. the white marsh plant has been producing hybrid transmissions since 2007. >> these jobs could have gone to other states. could have gone to another country. but they are being build here. >> reporter: jobs created and dollars generated from gm's investment in this new plant is reason for excitementment here. here's another reason. this is going to be the first

destination. kelly mcpherson explains, the woman was coming to town to visit family. >> reporter: vick, police say the missing woman called a family member and said she was about an hour's drive away and that is the last time they know she was alive and well. baltimore county police are looking for a missing russian woman around katonsville. she has been missing since february when she flew from russia to new york, rented a car and headed toward maryland to meet family police says. >> as best we know she traveled down i85 to the baltimore area. that's the last place that we can track her to. >> it's crazy, i think it's bad news for catonsville that somebody like that would happen but i can't imagine it has anything to do with anybody here. >> reporter: police found the rental car and police believe someone in the area may know where she is. >> we believe there's foul play in this case, but we need help

it is 65 degrees and cloudy in central maryland right now. the complete forewarning weather is coming up. congresswoman giffords will undergo skull surgery on thursday. the associated press reports the procedure will replace a piece of her skull removed by doctors. since then she has worn a helmet while undergoing rehabilitation. giffords was in houston watching her husband pilot space shuttle endeavour. and family members have created a computerized photo of the boy. the boy may be from a military family because a truck seen in

the area has a navy insignia. the mississippi river continues to threaten cities in the south. the river is at historic levels. it is expected to crest at 55 feet. the coast guard closed a 15- mile stretch of the river for fear of the weight from barges could strain the levies. tonight they decided to reopen that part of the river. a terrifying afternoon on the playground for two elementary school students in baltimore city. they were shot with a bb gun by another student. adam may has the exclusive story including outrage from parents about the way the school handled the incident. >> reporter: school police are investigating a violent incident involving fourth and fifth graders hurt during an afternoon school program on the playground of comington charles school. >> i was told to go, and he was talking to the little boy and

he pulled out a bb gun. and he told us all we have 10 seconds to run. and he shot me and he shot another boy named cameron above the lip. >> were you scared? >> yeah, because they say he has a real gun too. and it's mother knows. >> reporter: you can imagine while colel's mother is alarmed. >> hearing the word shot and son in the same sentence. i don't care if it was a water gun, shot and son it just didn't sit right. so my first question was, where were the adults? >> reporter: a school police officer told the boy's mother that the shooter would only be suspended for five days. school officials say that statement was an error. their code of conduct requires a longer suspension but it does not require expulsion. >> i'm afraid to go back to that school. >> do you think the school acted appropriately? >> no. >> i'm not going to send him back there. >> reporter: this is only colel's second year in the city's school system, he used

to attend a catholic school that was shut down and now his family cannot afford private school. >> reporter: what would your dream school be like? >> there would be a lot of science and math. >> reporter: you like science and math. >> they're my favorite subjects. >> reporter: a final punishment is yet to be determined. adam may. now the principal of the school who ultimately determined the punishment declined to speak to wjz. a 66-year-old man is charged in connection with shooting a skateboarder. police say charles armenger was trying to scare a group of juveniles off his property, off the property of his condominium. the 13-year-old boy was hit above the right knee and taken to the hospital. armenger is charged with first and second degree assault. lisa beth jones was named
