they have identified two people of interest in the case. police announced they believe they have found the body of 27- year-old lauren giddings. >> the missing spern a homicide -- person is a homicide victim. >> reporter: mike persons says the condition of the body prevanes positive id. >> what's-- was the-- wased bodydismembered? >> sphwhient answer that out of the respect for the family. >> reporter: the familiar will can be - the family sent arequest for privacy and compassion giddings graduated from law school at mercer university this year a friend reported her missing after she had not heard from her in nearly a week. now a neighbor is considered a person of interest in the case e told reporters--- case. he told reporters he and others searched for her. >> we looked around the place and no sign of a trug -- struggle and nothing. she was gone. all of her stuff was there, herid was there and her wallet was there, but she was -- she

was just gone. >> reporter: police released no information about the cause of death but have included a searchof a nearby landfill in the investigation. the neighbor says he saw something on giddings's computer. >> she said she was afraid in her apartment she thought one tried to break in on thursday night and she was afraid to stay in there. >> reporter: steven mcdaniel way as arrested -- was later arrested in an unrelated burglar. second person of interest's nape has not been released. back to you ash did -- name has not been released. giddings graduated from appleton high school in columbia. back here, flames ripped through an anne arundel county home killing one person and sending another to the hospital. the fire broke out this afternoon onshore drive in edgewater. when firefighters went inside the home, they found one person already dead. they rushed another woman to

the hospital with life- threatening injuries. a neighbor was also treated for smoke inhalation and investigators are not sure what sparked the deadly fire. >> a baltimore city firefighter is recovering after getting hurt battling a fire at this east baltimore home. the flames quickly spread this morning to three row houses. one of the homes partially collapsed. but everyone inside escaped. we are told the injured firefighter should be okay. a chaotic scene outside a nightclub. a man was shot to death early this morning in the parking lot of club baltimore in rosedale. police were investigating, someone hit one of the officers in the face. they arrested that person but the shooter is still on the loose tonight. after weeks of drama, jurors are almost ready to decide the fate of casey anthony. karen brown reports for wjz, closing arguments in the high- profile murder case starts tomorrow morning. >> reporter: casey anthony's defense attorneys have one last

chance to explain to the jury what they didn't make good on their promises. in opening statements, they told the 7 women and 5 men that anthony's 2-year-old daughter accidently drowned. but in 33 days of testimony, never offered firm proof to support that claim. they also told the jury that anthony behaved badly when her daughter was missing because she was sexually abused by her father. but he denied it. >> i said for several days they needed to throw a hail mary. and every time they seemed to have attempted that, they fumbled. >> reporter: still, the burden of proof lies with the prosecution. they contend 25-year-old anthony suffocated her daughter. but offered only circumstantial evidence. no dna on the body and no proof of how she died. what they have going for them is anthony he's erratic behavior in the weeks caylee was missing. her lies, her partying. and the prosecution may have gotten one of its biggest

breaks when the final witness's testimony suggested casey anthony's mother lied on the stand to protect her. cindy anthony testified she searched the family's computer for chloroform that the prosecution says was kiss -- was used to kill caylee but cindy'sboss testified she was at work at time the search took place putting the spotlight on herdot anthony never took the stand in her defense -- her daughter. anthony never took the stand and her fate will be in the hand of jury. karen brown,wjz "eyewitness news." >> and if casey anthony is found guilty of first-degree murder she guaranteed to spend the rest of her life in prison and could face the death penalty. dominique strauss-kahn is getting used to life as a free man. former head of the international monetary fund left his home in new york city. he had been under arrest after he was accused of sexual assault.

but the judge let him out after prosecutors discovered problems with the maid's credibility. he is not allowed to leave the country. a security scare as president obama vacations in western maryland a small plane accidently flew into restricted airspace over camp david. that's in frederick county. the president is spending the holiday weekend there with his family. a fighter jet escorted the plane to hagerstown. the secret service spoke to the pilot and called this an accident. a small sigh of relief in new mexico. the wild fire continues to spread there, firefighters say the los alamos national laboratory is safe from the flames creeping closer. as the growing wild fire near the town of los alamos has blackened 162 square miles, the nuke clear weapons laboratory may be out of harm's way. hundreds of los alamos national laboratory employees returned to work saturday. >> we are checking things like the air handling systems to

make sure the filters weren't clogged by the smoke. >> reporter: the smoke covers los alamos and 12,000 residents. many are in shelters and fire officials don't know when they will left the evacuation order. >> we want all resource that is are available since this is the number one fire priority in the country. >> reporter: the wild fires is the largest in new mexico's history. >> this unprecedented dryness makes the state a tenderbox. >> reporter: they are trying to protect a mountain sacrate to the santa clara pueblo indians. it scorched the watershed and cultural sites. some residents are angry over the rush to save the lab at the expense of other areas. >> now we see their focus was save los alamos, what about us? the last fire we are still not even recovered from the last fire. >> reporter: authorities admit the wilderness is so fire damaged, flooding may be inevitablenew mexico's governor

78 degrees and partly cloudy in central maryland. the complete first warning weather forecast is coming up. an i incredible accident in new or -- an incredible accidents in new orleans a honda civic land on top of a building killing the driver. they believe the driver may have been tired and speeding when the car hit the curb and bounced and went airborne. the crash is under investigation. tragedy at an anewsment park in florida -- amusement park in florida. he took a plunge he's worked on a ride. they used harnesses and cables to reach the man but he later died. the amusement park is closed while investigators look into the accident. an ohio lawmaker is arrest on suspicion of dui and the whole thing is caught on tape. >> you are clearly intoxicated and you can't do none of the test right. you are giving me problems. i can smell the alcohol. >> i am not trying to give you a problem. >> you are. i don't care if you a lawyer.

schuh, wjz "eyewitness news." >> and though the numbers are down, it's nowhere near a drought. and who better to tell us more about whether we will get rain or not, bern. >> well, we do have a couple thunderstorms that have been firing up on first warning doppler radar. nothing huge. today is a peck stack -- spectacular day. but there are a few storms out to the west. thing is they have been forming along the ridges of the mountains and they are coming down from pennsylvania. here's how it looks when we put it in motion. not that long ago not a whole lot but it's moving southward. we are going to open think up a little more and show you that this is part of a storm system that's coming in our direction. you see there's a little more off to the northwest with it. we may not get all of that, but that's part of the storm system moving in our direction. you can see it is parking -- sparking showers and thunderstorms ahead of it. a couple showers and thunderstorms are possible. first, we will go back to today before we get more into this. and most of today was gorgeous

out there. we did have the isolated thunderstorm earlier that made its way down to the south through frederick and another band starting and this is going to continue. southerly winds are also bringing out humidity levels. now today, it was pretty low but the dew points are on the way up. they are in the 60s. it's still not that bad but by tomorrow they will be in the 60s and temperatures are going up so tomorrow it will be a muggy day. 78 degrees outside. 81 in dc. and we did top out at 90 this afternoon. way above that average and this forecast most of it is going to be above average. so here's the storm system. it's off to the northwest. and most of it will pass off to the north of us. however, we are starting to see the showers and storms firing up. and then tomorrow, that's when the front gets its closest. even more in the way of scattered showers and storms. now not everybody getting this all day long. this is going to be the most active day of the holiday weekend. then by monday, the front pushes off to the south, however, it starts to stall off
